Best tire for street and track use available. Thanks !
Made my Focus RS even a better performer than it already was.. Ready for the next Targa SCCA multi-event. Good for track events, autocrosses, and daily driving. Better than some full race tires I've had in the past.
Thanks for the great feedback MC!

Amazing Handling - Terrible Ride/Noise
-- 2013 Ford Flex Limited Edition AWD EconoBoost -- I have had 2 complete sets of 255/45ZR20 101Y Pilot Sport A/S 3. Both sets were AMAZING up to about 10,000 miles. I am talking the best handling in all conditions plus they look very sporty!! BUT - after that they seem to be a much harder ride and nosier as times passes. I replaced the first set at 29,000 miles and am now looking to replace the second set at 27,000. Needless to say I am very reluctant to go down this road again!! Premium dollars for a not so overall great tire.

I have compared!
I drove a Nissan Maxima 2011 and had always ran BF's until my tire shop recommended the Pilot based on my driving habits. Well it was like a new car the way it handled especially in the rain. I went out the same week and put Michelin's on my wife's Ford Escape and she even noticed the difference. Great tire. I just bought a 2016 Nissan Maxima an what a fun car it drive except for 4 things, the tires! They have Continentals and what horrible tires, slips in rain and spins easily and just no confidence. Hard to get rid of new tires but the minute I can afford it she will get new Michelin Pilots so I can drive this car to capabilities. Good job

I Love My Car all over again
I purchased these tires and could not be happier. The car handles like a dream. Comfortable and sporty at the same time - it's like I have a brand new car. The improvement to the driving experience is just plain great. I highly recommend these tires.
Thanks for the great feedback Shelley!

Grip Very Well
The first 100km I agree that the tires felt slippery... I think it has to do with the compound they put on them from the factory. I was questioning whether or not I made the right choice. After a break in period, I cannot break loose my 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD on a tight corner. I lose tailgaters on the tight corners and it is a lot of fun doing i!
We appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Pilot Sport A/S 3 on Volvo V50 T5
I have much all weather experience driving in Maryland and I am not an aggressive driver but I do like the feel of a sportier tire and do like to throw the car through turns for fun. I previously had two sets of Conti DWS. The DWS do everything pretty well including snow. But, they offer little excitement. I didn't realize this until I got the Michelin Sport A/S 3. The A/S 3 is a very responsive tire than handles incredibly well in dry or wet. The only down side to the tires that I have found is snow traction where they fell short. My A/S 3's are well into the wear indicators and still handle great even in wet. A/S 3+ here I come!

Would recommend this tire
I'm on the road constantly Highway and city driving as well winter driving and been very happy with these tires. Sudden stops and turning at the same time the tire proved it could handle the task. Not too much negative to say except like any tire you'd wish they last forever. Thanks Michelin

Great Tires
Great tires for spring/summer performance. Doesn't matter if the surface is dry or slick with summer rain, these tires keep you on track, even under hard driving.

Tires too Noisy
Size: 245/45ZR17, ZR rated Y speed rated. Took the first drive on them, there was a horrendous drone noise over all speeds. Excessive harmonics at 50 – 55mph, and again at 70-75 mph; so loud it’s difficult to hear the radio. Tire needs redesign. Harsh ride due to thicker sidewalls and reinforce bead buildup (creating low tire compliance). Source of noise: Tread shoulder too wide, sipes and grooves on shoulder too wide and rounded, shoulder blocking grooves are normal to the direction of travel leading to tread blocks slapping the pavement. Resolve this noise by angling shoulder grooving between tread blocks. Overall Poor tire due to noise.

Best tires in their class
These tires are great and probably the best wet tradition I have ever had. Overall they are fairly good tires, they start out very quite and very grippy, maybe too grippy if that is real? I saw too grippy because it makes small cars a little squirmy because of the instant bite of traction. I was able to get around 40k miles on my last pair with aggressive driving and long commutes. Like I said though the wet traction is unmatched. The car originally came with Perrelli's and although they had good dry track were poor in rain and tire life was about the same or less. All in all highly recommend these tires, can't go wrong with Michelin's.
