Love Michelin
Purchased my first Michelin tires 50+ years ago. Just got some Michelin Defender tires and the ride is smooth and wonderful.

EXCELLENT TIRES WITH GREAT PERFORMANCE AND QUIET RIDE
After purchasing the Michelin Defender 2 tires for my Lexus ES350, I have decided to get a new set for my RX350 with 245/50R20. The New Defender 2 tires have great handling performance in dry and wet weather conditions, and it also provides very comfortable and quiet ride! In addition, it’s great to know that the New Defender tires will last for a very long time with 80,000 miles warranty. I like the new tires very much and happy with the choice I made.

Safty and performance
This is my fourth set on four different cars, I truly enjoyed the performance and the safety from Mitchlen tires.

Great tires!
I was able to get 94,000 miles on my set of Defenders over 6 years. I probably could have pushed 100,000 but, the outside tread was cracking. I was very faithful in rotating my tires. Great snow, rain handling. Quiet also.

Excellent Tires with Comfortable and Quite Ride
I recently purchased the Michelin Defender 2 tires with tire size of 235/50R17 for my Lexus ES350. My previous tires were Michelin Premier A/S, which it offers very comfortable and quite ride with excellent handling and traction during dry and wet weather conditions. However, the issue was the Premier A/S did not last very long. I only had 25K and all 4 tires went down to 2/32. By doing a lot of research, I found out that the Defender 2 is built on the foundation of the Defender T+H, the Michelin Defender 2 scores top marks in all categories. Plus, it has the identical tread pattern design like Premier A/S which I like it very much. It provided me very comfortable and quite ride with Piano Acoustic Tuning Technology. In addition, the Defender 2 compounds contain EverTread2.0 and MaxTouch2.0 Technology, which Michelin offers 80,000 miles warranty. By knowing Defender 2 is built from Defender T+H and has the same tread design like Premier A/S, I know this is an excellent tire that would give me the most comfortable quite ride while keep me safe on the roads, plus it will last for a long time. I am very happy with the purchase and the choice I made.

Dont buy unless you want poor MPG
I bought the Defender 2 from Discount tires and put on the 2021 Rav 4 - I now have over 12,000 miles on them ( I drive alot) The previous tires were factory Dunlop Grandtrek PT20. I went from 38 avg MPG to 32 MPG-- never have I seen such a huge mileage difference from changing tires . I regret buying these tires and have advises several friends/family members from buying them.
Askjoe, thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback on the Defender2. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.
