Fantastic tire
looking to get the third one for this bike! handles perfect wet or dry full load and a passenger. I just returned from another 2 week trip on this rear 2881mi. VA, WVA,MD,PA,NY,CT,MA,VT. last year similar trip. over 10k hard riding dragging pegs around corners through the mountains and fast straight line highway. I do proper maintenance on my bike including regular tire pressure checks.

Bad tire.
Rode these on my 09 street glide, jnstalled in 2021. Bad vibration from day 1 to the last day, feels like engine vibration all the way up to the grips amd even distorts the mirrors, but only while riding straight up. As soon as I leaned a bit in turns, smooth as glass; straightened back up, solid virbation. This was about a year ago, I swapped to Metzlers and had ZERO issues with the tires riding straight. No vibrations on Metzlers at all. Rode a friend's bike with newer commander III, still has the plaguing vibration issue. Must be Michellin's center compound, cause it's causing my hands to go numb just from the vibration. Not to mention, it burned my fender back in 2021 cause it's a taller profile tire. Check fitment before running it down the road or you'll wind up a damaged fender amd possible blowout. It is NOT the same profile as the Commander II. Would never recommend this tire to anyone. Lastly, I worked in a shop for a bit. Too many people came in for the Commander IIIs and then turned right back around a week later and had them swapped due to vibration. This is not just a "lot" of bad tires, this is an entire design flaw that must be fixed Michellin.
Hi Nope, we're disappointed to learn about your experience with Michelin Commander III Touring tires. Due to the subjective handling issues reported by some riders, we re-designed the front tire, as you mentioned, in July 2021 to eliminate any additive harmonic vibrations. Prior to this we expanded our product warranty to cover the cost of a replacement Michelin tire or even a competitor tire for consumers that reported excessive vibration to our Consumer Care Department. The overall tire profile of the Michelin Commander III tire is significantly different than the Michelin Commander II tire; the newer tire has a flatter profile across the crown to help manage stresses around the contact patch, which promotes extended wear. Although Michelin was the first to market with a dual compound tire in 2005, both Commander models are single compound tires and are dimensionally within industry standards; you can confidently run any model tire recommended by our online fitment guide. We understand this does not change your experience, but we encourage you to reach out to us sooner to help resolve any future issues you may have with a Michelin product.

🔥🔥🔥
I would never use any other tires on my 2020 Iron 1200!

Junk
Worst tire I ever bought had a month and has cracks and can drive over wet pavement then crack the throttle and just spins

Good for Honda Rebel
no problems at all. fitted my rebel 500 because the stock(dunlop 404) cant grip well in the rain. got my confidence riding in the rain with these.

Longest, lasting most responsive
Far away, the most responsive tires I’ve ever written on.

130/80/B17 vibration
I've had a front tire vibration between 55 and 60 mph on the last three 130/80 B17 tires that I've owned. I spend very little time at those speeds so it's not a major issue.

Do NOT buy
Had the same issue as many. Horrible handling, I even went into a death wobble. I only went to a III because it was post COVID and could not get the IIs where I am. Replaced with a II and all my issues went away. Talked to customer service, told them my issues and that the tire was a piece of junk at best, and was told "I'm sorry you feel that way", which means we all know what. I was told they were not recommended for cruisers so there was no warranty. Rather interesting when I chacked and all I see is " https://www.michelin.ca/en/motorcycle/tires/michelin-commander-iii-cruiser" when I look them up. DO NOT buy this tire. It is dangerous.

Best tires ever!!
Just installed the third set on my third bike. They made my cruisers handle like sport bikes. Wet/ dry traction is excellent. Braking can be done with total confidence; my ABS has yet to activate with these tires mounted. Looks like I’m going to get close to 25k miles out of my original set on a 900lb bagger!! I’ll be hard pressed to ever run a different tire.

Command the Road
I purchased this Tire on 11/2023 and as soon as I rode away from the dealer/installer I noticed a much better ride than the oem tires. I listened to a friend and glad I did (he also told me expect to get many good miles out ofthem.
