Review Summary
The Michelin Premier LTX tires offer excellent ride quality, handling, and traction, especially in wet and snowy conditions. However, many customers report premature tread wear, often well before the advertised 60,000-mile warranty. Some had to replace the tires as early as 30,000-40,000 miles. Customers also noted issues with the warranty support, as the company was unwilling to fully honor the warranty when the tires wore out early. While the performance benefits are notable, the poor tread life and warranty concerns are significant drawbacks to consider.

Very disappointed in the Michelin Premier LTX tires.
Very disappointed with this Michelin Premier LTX set of tires! I bought a set of these tires on September 23, 2023 and as of 12-30-2024, have only 16,118 miles in the tires and they are hydroplaning like crazy and the west bar is even with the tread and Costco has not been very receptive helping with any adjustments for these tires prompting me to contact the Michelin Customer Care phone number to begin the process of assistance with these now dangerous tires.

Worst tread wear
Worst tire so far. Had owned many tires from michelin but tread wear or rubber falling apart is horrible have driving 24000 miles on the tire but had to replace it due to rubber falling apart and excessive tread wear. State inspection told me to change tire due to tread rubber falling apart.
Brandonnyc, we would suggest taking your vehicle to an authorized Michelin dealer in your area for an inspection of the tires. Also, bring your original purchase receipt with you. Upon inspection, either you or the dealer can give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri and we can determine next steps.

Michelin premier LTX under warranty
I bought a brand new 2022 Lexus RX 350 on November of 2022. The Lexus was equipped with Michelin premier LTX tires, on November 5th of 2024 I stopped by discount tire to get some air due to fluctuation of temperatures and we notice our tires were excessively worn out. Our 2 front tires were at 0 & 1/32 and our rear tires were at 4 & 5/32 so discount tire employee help me do file warranty with Michelin corporate. Michelin corporates accept our claim and grant us 80% on cost of the new tires. 2 years of driving & I end up paying only 20% on the price of four tire which come out to $240 plus installations etc. Come out to $280 under $300. I am extremely happy and thankful for the warranty. Thank you so much to Michelin brand for Standing behind their warranty, I also want to give shout out to discount tire on Broadway (East of Tucson) for helping me successfully claim on 4 new tires. Thank you very much.

Horrible in snow and rain.
Horrible on snow/ice, as well as the rain. You can get good miles out of them though, so if you live in a desert, these would be a maybe... I actually took ours off our Kia Telluride after 20,000 miles (they still had a lot of tread left) because I thought they were too much of a safety risk. Live in MN.
Telluride Driver, we'd recommend taking your vehicle for an inspection of the tires by an authorized Michelin retailer. Give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri upon their inspection so that we can decide how to proceed.

Exceptional Ride Quality - Medium Life Span
I've been purchasing these tires for the past 5 years for my Lexus RX 350. While the ride performance has been outstanding, the tire tread wears out at 36,000 to 40,000, even with tire rotations every 5,000 miles and rebalancing as suggested.

Disappointed
These were on my new Buick Envision that I bought in 2020. I only got 15,000 miles on them before I was told I needed to replace them. Very disappointed...

Disappointed
These were on my new Buick Envision. When I went to get them rotated (3rd time) at a tire shop, they said my tires needed To be replaced. I only had 15,000 miles on the tires. They measured at 5/32. My car is a 2020 Buick. I didn't know anything about tire tread and the salesman did not explain. I feel that he pressured me into buying them. I am a 81 year old widow......feeling that he was taking advantage of me because of my age and lack of knowledge of tire tread. I found out that they don't recommend new tires until 4/32 or less. Could you please help me?
Disappointed 42, our records indicate you have been in contact with our Consumer Care team. As directed, upon inspection of the tires, have the dealer call us at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri so that we can determine next steps.

Tire failures
Chunks of rubber breaking off of the tire like other customers have indicated. I have had the vehicle realigned at different shops to verify that it was not alignment. Had the tires rotated. Tires are not making it to 36000 as I'm afraid they will blow out with my family in the vehicle.
michelinfan, we recommend having the tires inspected by your local Michelin retailer. Give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri so that we can get their findings and determine a solution.

Buyer Beware! Do not purchase and read the reviews
I drive a 2017 Lexus Rx350 F Sport. It had 34K miles on it when purchased. I was told I had to replace the tires at 55K miles and my Lexus dealership suggested the Prenier LTX which were warrantied for 60k miles. Ok, great! Except NOT so great: just a mere 20K miles in, I had to replace them again! I did not necessarily expect 60k miles; however, I did not expect o ly one-third of the miles either. I'm not an aggressive, crazy driver and I understand that certain types of driving (city v. highway) get different wear results. I drive equal portions. Of course I regularly rotated and aligned the tires, ensured proper inflation, etc and the dealer could offer no explanation. However, what they did share w/ me is that they see this minimal performance with these tires regularly. I was stunned! I invoked my warranty and received $470 in Michelin credit toward another set of the exact same tires. I replaced these tires but none of the reviews I have read on this website gives me any confidence that I will get any more mileage out of them. Consider the pitiful 2.3 star rating received and also the well over 50 percent of the 1,188 ratings are 1 star. Bottom line: Consumers are paying op dollar for quality that was once associated with the Michelin name but are NOT receiving a quality product. I can tell you I will NEVER put a Michelin product on any of my vehicles again. I have heard of a potential class action lawsuit and if I see it comes to fruition, I'll lead the way in opting in.
