Review Summary
The Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires provide excellent grip and traction in both dry and wet conditions, delivering a confident and secure driving experience. They offer a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride with impressive handling and cornering capabilities, making them well-suited for sporty and high-performance vehicles. Can't recommend
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these tires. This review comes after driving 50,000kms, city and long distance highway driving in an AWD vehicle. Tire size is 265/40R/21. Maybe this tire is not ultimately suitable for a low profile vehicle, I'm not sure. As I often read reviews before making a purchase, and I did before purchasing this tire, I feel compelled to write a review with my experience. In my opinion, this tire lacks stability and handling ability. They've always felt slippery in rain and though the first year was somewhat bearable in snow, since then they've been poor. On dry surface they roll into (vs. over) any groove in the road (think crack in the road that has been filled with tar); the tires feel like they are sinking into the tar. They've never felt like they have enough air, though I've repeatedly checked the level. Today, I felt like I was 'skating' while driving in 2cm of snow. No traction whatsoever. I have always put Michelin tires on my cars and have always been happy with them. Sadly, that hasn't been the case with this one. I will consider another Michelin tire, I just can't recommend this one.

We recommend visiting an authorized Michelin retailer for an inspection and reaching out to our Consumer Care team if you’d like further assistance. Great features
Stability and good quality

Fast time at half time
It's 11 months since I had these installed and I was told that they need to be replaced asap. They are showing the wire and they pose a safety hazard. They have a 45,000 mile warranty and I have not driven these miles. I am going back to costco to see about getting these replaced
We’re sorry to hear about the premature wear on your Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact to discuss next steps or you can give us a call at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Long-Time Michelin Customer Disappointed by Repeated Failures of Pilot Sport A/S 4
I’ve been a loyal Michelin customer for over 20 years, always choosing Michelin tires for every vehicle I’ve owned. My loyalty to the brand spans more than 20 years, and that history is the reason I’m taking the time to write this review rather than quietly switching to another brand. However, my recent experiences with the Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires, including premature wear on the first set of four tires and a serious resilience issue with a replacement set, have shaken my confidence in Michelin’s quality and long-term value. My first set of four Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires wore completely bald at just 28,000 miles, well below the 45,000-mile warranty. I replaced that first set of four tires and, based on my long-standing trust in Michelin, chose to remain loyal without hesitation. Today, one tire from the replacement set was compromised by a small nail, making the vehicle unsafe to drive. The tire shop required that the tires be replaced as a pair, so I had to spend $400 on today's purchase, which was an unexpected burden, especially following recent holiday expenses, even though the tires had only 21,000 miles. This is not the level of durability or resilience I expect from a premium Michelin tire. I hope Michelin stands behind their long term customers, and appreciate this feedback. I would like to recommend Michelin again, but I cannot do so with confidence today.
Thank you for your 20+ years of loyalty to Michelin. We’re sorry to hear about the premature wear on your Pilot Sport A/S 4 tires and the unexpected cost after the nail damage. We understand how frustrating that is. A member of our Consumer Care will reach out shortly. In the meantime, you're welcome to call us at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

NICE
GOOD

They wear out too quickly
Not a good overall tire. They wear too quick. After 16 month’s the tread down 50% (thread wear of #5 out of 10) on only 13,200 miles. Michelin have them for 45,000 miles warranty.
Kenny, we’re sorry to hear the tread life hasn’t met expectations. Please visit an authorized Michelin dealer for a full inspection and have the dealer call us while you’re there so we can review warranty options. Our number is 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).
