Good All Season tire for high performance car
Purchased the Pilot Sport AS4s from Costco. Had the AS3 previously and got over 3 years out of them. For use on my Audi S5 which I do track a few times a year. These tires are great for all seasons since this car lives in Ohio. Tires are good on the track especially if the weather is not good which happens a lot up north. Otherwise I would use summer pilot sports or sport cup 2 tires for tracking. Overall recommend these tires if you want the best quality and one you can safely track with.

Great choice
I got these tires installed about the beginning of april 2025. Great so far ! I was reccomended these tires from my family .

Would not buy from this brand again
After 12k miles the tires need to be replaced, down to the wear bar 1/32. This is unacceptable and really makes me wonder if they got the compound wrong on this tire for them to wear so quickly.

Smooth ride

A big miss from a company that usually produces the best…….
A great handling tire but exceptionally poor tread life - the worst of any Michelin I’ve experienced. Also- the chunking others have mentioned was also a strange issue with this tire. Despite 5k rotations and diligent attention to alignment and inflation, I received just under 26k miles until reaching 2/32. Very disappointed in these, but still replaced with another Michelin - crossclimate2 - because of their outstanding performance on two of my other cars.
AloysiusC, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to read of your disappointment in the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires, but thankful you stayed with the Michelin family and chose the Cross Climate2 tires. We hope you enjoy the new set of tires.

pilot sport a/s 4, 225/40-zr18, suspect build quality, very wide tread grooves
four new pilot sport a/s 4 225/40-zr18 just installed 6-24-2024. lots of nibs. tread cap seams are blistered, raggedy, over moulded almost like retreads. wide tread grooves. 2/3rds of tread width is actual tread. 1/3rd is "empty" tread grooves. should of looked at actual tires and date codes before install. expected way better for the brand and price. made in ardmore, ok (1AP) 33rd wk of 2022. just installed and 2yrs old already! a/s 4's came out in july 2020. will be asking TD to swap these out for something different, newer. no a/s 4 model available in review list so put in with a/s 3+ reviews.

GREAT FEATURES
I BOUGHT THESE TIRE YESTERDAY

It was a great tire
I am not 100% sure, I think this tire was disconnected. It was an awesome tire, after my factory tire wore out I was using these. they were grippy tire and phenomenal in the rain. I will have to try the new version of these tires.

Tire Chunking
I bought these tires 2 years and 11 months ago, and I've put about 30,000 miles on them. Although the wear on them hasn't been too bad, I have noticed that the tires have been chunking, which I never had a problem with using non-Michelin tires in the past for about a decade.
pnw_hiker, we understand the concern. The first step is to get an inspection of the tires from an authorized Michelin retailer (preferably the selling retailer). A member of our team will be in touch to work with you and the dealer on initiating a warranty claim.

Very disappointed
Had a set of these on a BMW 320i. At less than 26k miles I had to replace them with less than 2/32nds of tread left. These tires have been rotated and balanced regularly. Thought these were the best, but very disappointed. Probably done with this brand of tires with quality like this.
62scott62, we understand your frustration, however this tire does have a limited treadwear warranty. Credit based on the mileage received would be applied to the new tire purchase. A member of our team will be in touch to get more details and work with you and the retailer on initiating a warranty claim.
