Great choice
I got these tires installed about the beginning of april 2025. Great so far ! I was reccomended these tires from my family .

Would not buy from this brand again
After 12k miles the tires need to be replaced, down to the wear bar 1/32. This is unacceptable and really makes me wonder if they got the compound wrong on this tire for them to wear so quickly.

Smooth ride

A big miss from a company that usually produces the best…….
A great handling tire but exceptionally poor tread life - the worst of any Michelin I’ve experienced. Also- the chunking others have mentioned was also a strange issue with this tire. Despite 5k rotations and diligent attention to alignment and inflation, I received just under 26k miles until reaching 2/32. Very disappointed in these, but still replaced with another Michelin - crossclimate2 - because of their outstanding performance on two of my other cars.
AloysiusC, thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to read of your disappointment in the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires, but thankful you stayed with the Michelin family and chose the Cross Climate2 tires. We hope you enjoy the new set of tires.

pilot sport a/s 4, 225/40-zr18, suspect build quality, very wide tread grooves
four new pilot sport a/s 4 225/40-zr18 just installed 6-24-2024. lots of nibs. tread cap seams are blistered, raggedy, over moulded almost like retreads. wide tread grooves. 2/3rds of tread width is actual tread. 1/3rd is "empty" tread grooves. should of looked at actual tires and date codes before install. expected way better for the brand and price. made in ardmore, ok (1AP) 33rd wk of 2022. just installed and 2yrs old already! a/s 4's came out in july 2020. will be asking TD to swap these out for something different, newer. no a/s 4 model available in review list so put in with a/s 3+ reviews.
We hate to read that your experience with our tires hasn’t been a great one. Our team is here and would like to help. Please call us at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST for assistance.

Figures on chart represent estimated calculations.
XL = Extra Load ZP = Zero Pressure Run-Flat Technology
>> The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width.
>> Section width varies approximately 0.2" (5mm) for every 0.5" change in rim width.
>> Tread patterns are often tuned to accomodate different tire widths. Tires for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the tire shown in the photograph.
WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.
DANGER: Never mount a 16" diameter tire on a 16.5" rim.
DANGER: Never mount a 17" diameter tire on a 17.5" rim.
Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.
For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tire and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.
For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
W-Speed Rated Sizes:
Maximum Speed (mph) 118 124 130 136 143 149 155 161 168
