Great Ride on Michelin Tires
My Prius rides much better now
T&H are the way to go!
I was told the T&H was better than the new 2's. So I was glad my local tire dealer still had sets of the older Defenders. Car is now extremely quiet and smooth compared to the set of Difinity tires our car came with. The old tires still had plenty of tread with only 20k of use, but were dangerously squirrelly in the wet. These Michelins are awesome in the wet!
Time to renew
got 90,000 miles off first set, now to find how many off this set, great tire
Best all-season tire option for most people
Smooth ride and very comfortable. Great traction that gives you peace of mind. Make sure to rotate them periodically then you should be good to go!
Terrible in the snow
We bought these tires a little under 5 years ago to replace the OEM tires on our pilot and will be replacing them this winter. I've driven in harsh/snowy conditions without dedicated snow tires most of my adult life and I've never had as many issues as I've had with this tire. I've lost all confidence in its ability to handle even the smallest amount of snow.

Replaced 4 tires at only 33,889 miles of wear for weathering (not under warranty)
This is my 2nd set of Defender Tires purchased 11-14-2017 at 80,749 miles. Regular rotation and balanced. No issues and tread looked new. Upon routine rotation was informed that weather cracking had started and that I needed to replace all four tires. I contacted Michelin to learn that it is NOT covered. The tires had 33,889 miles on them BUT were too old, or so I was told no adjustment. The tires are 7 years old and they will dry rot. So unless you are putting a lot of miles on the tires in under 6 years, I do not recommend this tire. The T + H has been discontinued. I purchased a new set of 4 Defender 2 because I like the ride, but I am unhappy to see such a problem of weathering costing me $1,000.
