Unhappy
So I purchased these 10/25/25 after reading every review I could find. I made a conscious decision to go with these over the OEM Michelin Defender LTX I had 60000 miles on. The Platiums are quieter and look really good and come with 70000 mile warranty. But they had a few reviews that stated they pick up debris in the new tread design. I was going through a clean paved intersection in the city and picked up a 3/4 in bolt in the tread, Before I could stop it pushed all the way into the tire. It let us stranded. My wife and I are handicapped so I called Michelin Roadside assistance to change the tire. The location link they sent me didn't work, so I sent them a Google Maps Pin drop. I completed the call, all is good. I received a text say 30-85 min ETA. A hour in I called to check the repair trucks location. I was told it was canceled and they would dispatch another repair truck, he stated he would call me right back once he had the paperwork completed. Another hour went by and no call. ( By this time I had called Ford's roadside assistance) The Ford repair truck was on seen when Michelin called back. I get that tires are not bullet proof and it was just the right object at the right time that got stuck in the newly designed tread pattern. But the roadside service was horrible and wasn't ran from the United States. I was extremely polite, there was no reason I shouldn't have received a call when they canceled the repair truck. Unacceptable business practice. Even more so they knew we were handicapped I am very concerned that I just spent close to 2000.00 for tires that are going to give me 70000 miles of trouble. I now am questioning the materials and construction of the new design. The specifications state they are equivalent to 10 ply tires. 30 days in and had to replace one already. I don't think so.

Tires a great pattern and work well in mud and snow.
I haul a lot of large loads, and I am on by third set. I get about 50000 miles on these tires, they hold up well.

Michelin Fan
Purchased these tires only one week ago.. So far I'm impressed with the smooth ride, handling and how quiet they are. I'll post another review after I put 10,000 miles or so on them. BTW... I've purchased Michelin tires for over 45 years; Class 8 trucks, trailers and plenty of passenger vehicles... never had an issue whatsoever.

Very quiet
Just had these tires put on so far very impressed. The ride is great. They are very quiet and just seem like a very well engineered tire.

Not any better than any other tire.
Don’t expect any warrant support for a defective tire. They will just claim it’s your fault. This tire blew out of no where without hitting anything. This is my first and last set of Michelins. Also, don’t expect any good faith discount to be easy, they want you to jump thru hoops. Picture of your registration, of the tire installed, receipts. Not a good customer experience compared to other brands.

TAKE A LOOK!!
I had 60,000 miles on my Michelin LTX A/T2. 275/65/20. I replaced them with Michelin LTX Defender Platinum. The specifications, construction, and materials of these two models are almost indestructible. They are compatible with OEM. The performance is phenomenal! I have had no problems with the tread hold rocks yet. When going over a bump or hump they do seem to be slightly stiffer, but highway driving is quite and very smooth. The tread design is like no other tire. The velure sidewall is clean and very noticeable. I no longer have to keep white letters clean, big plus for someone that is extremely picky about there truck and doesn't have the time.

Smooth ride.
First 2500 miles have been outstanding. These tires are smoother, quieter and drive more precisely than the factory installed Goodyears. The ride quality is outstanding for a heavier truck. 2025 GMC Sierra with 6.6 Duramax and 10 speed Allison.

Defender 2
I bought Defender 2 for my Accord. The worst tires I’ve ever owned! Luckily I bought them at Costco. I had them balanced at least 4 times! NEVER was a balance smooth with these tires. They traded them out for the Premicy. This have been fine.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear the tires didn’t meet your expectations and appreciate your honesty. It’s great that Costco was able to assist with the exchange and that the Primacy tires are performing well for you. Your feedback helps us continue improving our products and services. Great Tires
Got a set of these for my 2013 f-150 Best tires I ever had. Got them balanced & rotated every 5,000 miles. I got 98,000 miles out of them. Got another set a few months so I hope these last the same. With this new set I noticed they hold small rocks in the tread that the first set never did. Must be a small difference in the tread.

Vibration
I purchased a set of Defender LTX Platinum recently and immediately noticed significant vibration while driving. After having them professionally installed, the technician struggled to balance them properly—even after adding an excessive amount of weight to each tire. Despite the effort, the vibration persisted. This is actually the *second* set of the same brand I have had installed within the past month, both with identical issues. It is clear that the problem is not isolated to one batch or installer. I have lost confidence in the quality control of this product and plan to return them for a different brand. If you’re considering these tires, I would recommend looking elsewhere unless you are prepared to deal with balancing headaches and a rough ride.
We’re sorry to hear about the vibration issues you've experienced with the Defender LTX Platinum tires. We understand how frustrating this must be. Keep in mind the tires come with the Promise Plan. If you are dissatisfied with the tires, bring the original sales receipt to the place of purchase within 60 days for a new set of tires.
