Great for Winters!
Incredible tire, Especially in NE Ohio/Western Pa winters I wish they made this tire in every size, tread life is freakin great, performed outstanding in deep snow and ice, if you got kids or commute in areas with deep snow and you’re really worried about safety, grip, and reliability. This is the tire. This is not ai lol 100% recommend. I drive a full size 22 Tundra.

Overall ride and handling plus extremely quiet
The Defender’s exceeded my expectations. I have ran Michelin tires for twenty years plus. This tire takes the F250 Ford to a new level of ride and quietness.

To early to give a better opinion.
I only purchased these tires because the you no longer make the Defender LTX M/S2 in my size. I had the Defender M/S2's on my truck for 5 yrs and they were the best tires I ever owned. I just put the Platinum's on a week ago because I switched to Continental's but the ride after 60 mph wasn't the best. The Platinum's are good after 60 mph but a little rough at slow speeds.

Brilliant Ride!

Excellent traction, can not talk about durability but if it is anything like the previous LTX version then they should last 50000-60000 miles. I have Michelin Defender LTX on all three of my vehicles.

Quality

30000 miles and I’m still at 70 percent tread life. Amazing tires. I’ll never buy anything else. I’m pulling a 42 ft fifth wheel. It has great traction and I have peace of mind.

TERRIBLE Tires
I have had Michelin tires on all my trucks over the years, these new ones are not the same. Bought 2 in July and 2 in November, truck was shaking bad. Back to Discount tire and the road force value was 40-50 on two of them. Replaced and problem came back within 2 week. Since then they have replaced all 4 again, problem is back. Took to the dealership, nothing wrong with the truck, it's the tires again. Not a happy customer.

Great tire
Could tell a big difference in the ride as soon as I hit the road after installation. Much smoother and quieter than the All Terrain’s I had replaced. The traction during the rain has been great.

Very Poor Traction On Snowy Roads
Bought these to replace factory Michelin Defender LTX’s on my ‘22 Super Duty, which were great and lasted over 60K miles. They are fine on dry pavement, but downright scary on snow covered roads, where the LTX was surprisingly solid. So bad, in fact, that I am considering replacing them after only about 10K miles. I love Michelin tires and would use nothing else on my Audi, but these are subpar.
We’re sorry to hear that the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum tires haven’t met your expectations in snowy conditions, especially given your positive experience with previous Defender LTX tires. While traction can vary based on road conditions, vehicle setup and driving factors, we understand how concerning it is to feel uncertain behind the wheel. We’d encourage you to visit a local Michelin dealer for an inspection and to discuss options that may better suit your driving needs.
