My 6gt’s had excellent wet traction and gave me the best life on my concours 14. I replaced them with 7k miles, they had 2k miles left but I was going on a 4k mile trip. I strayed from Michelin and went with Dunlap RSIV- big mistake! I had horrible rain/cold first 1.5 week. I really missed the stability and wet performance of the 6gt- the best way to appreciate it is to ride with 6gt’s then switch to competitor . You can’t predict the weather when you spend weeks slabbing , you have to ride dry or rain. For rating, they deserve and extra star for wet riding . Forgive me Michelin for straying ; my next set will be 6gt’s ( unless there’s a 7GT!).

Stick with the best

Never again will I be lulled into straying away from Michelin tires. I have been tempted by other brands and have regretted buying them every time. This applies to my motorcycle , car and motor home. None have given me the life and performance that I get from Michelin tires.

Never again!

I put a set of the Road 6 GT’s on my new to me 2012 BMW K1600 GTL in August last year before heading out West for 19 days. Pittsburgh to Washington state via UP of Michigan, down to Utah (Utah12!), through Colorado (Million Dollar Highway) before heading for home via West Virginia. Encountered all kinds of weather (112 degrees, rain, smoke, high winds). My tires were rock stars, never slid on wet roads, they wore great without diminished traction or handling. 7,600 miles on that trip, then road to Barber Vintage Motorcycle weekend and North Carolina and West Virginia to finish them off. I put almost 11,000 miles on that set and still wasn’t completely worn but they wouldn’t pass inspection. I love these so much I put sets on both my 2016 BMW 1200RT and my 2019 Ducati MS 1260S. The Ducati handles fantastic even in heavy rain in the mountains. My friend asked if I was sliding because he was on the same bike with other tires, I was not. He is also going back to Road 6’s. I’ll admit I tried another brand after these but I will not use them again. I love my Michelins and intend to continue using them exclusively. The handling and wear are impressive. Thank you for a great tire!

Love these tires!
