Miracle Tires
I've been using these tires for almost 5 years now- They are that good. I'm approaching 600,000 miles on two wheels this year and have worked at dealerships as well as owning my own shop. The sipes on these tires are unique- they really clean themselves out due to the opening angles molded in, and which don't "go away" as the tire wears. The compound does not require warming up and has no problems in wet or cool conditions (I ride year-round unless there is ice on the pavement). The profile is near-perfect, I am able to utilize the entire width of the tires and the grip on pavement is outstanding- I've been chased by sportbikes while riding two-up. I have been getting 11,000 miles out of the rears before they begin to show a flat spot; the fronts develop the characteristic 'wedge' shape at about the same time so they are well matched in use (I push the front end on my bikes, instead of hanging the rear out). Adding pictures of the rear tire right after riding through a patch of wet mud to show how the tires are already cleaning themselves out- amazing! Some reviews state they don't work well in sand, but few tires other than dedicated knobbies handle sand.

Great On road and Fair off road
Have ridden 16k kms so far and still have treads left. Have found it to be great on road no matter the conditions wet/dry/hot.. Did some real off roading when i rode to Nepal Upper Mustang, not really good for it but it did fairly well and i am back alive :D

returned to anakee 3 for road use
I switched out my Anakee 3 which came on the Suzuki DL 650 xt. I went with shinko with a more aggressive tread but after 7000 miles they started making road noise so I returned to the Anakee 3 for better performance and realized I wasn't going seriously off road. I prefer the quieter sound and mild tread.

Great handling and tire life
I replaced stock metzler tires on my BMW R1250GS as those wore out very fast. The Michelin Anakee 3 has been a fantastic tire, great dry and wet grip, and it does well on the dirt and gravel roads that we ride 2-up on the bike. I've got a second set ready when this set wears out, but after about 4,000 miles the tires look like they have a lot of life left.

SO LOUD
Really nice design and really good grip, but extremely loud, I always think there is a sixteen wheeler next to me, about 3k miles with and the tires need to be changed

Off Road Tires?
Tires are fine on hard surfaced roads. Claiming these tires have any off-road capability beyond a traditional street tire is pure fiction. Buyer beware.

Great grip
Changed up to these tires and it made all the difference. The grip is fantastic and much reduced road noises compared to my last set.

It's A Really Good Tire!
The Anakee 3 was selected to replace the non-Michelin OEM tires on a R1200GS. Even though Michelin now lists the Anakee 3 as an "alternative", the current reviews made this selection a no-brainer. These tires have tremendous grip and enhance the handling of the R1200GS. Braking confidence is superb as well. These tires could care less about the small amount of light off-riding this bike is subjected to...transition? What transition?? They will sing a bit around 45mph and 65mph...though this is easily corrected, if necessary, through a small amount of throttle adjustment. Overall, the Anakee 3 is a very competent tire.

Best Tire Available for 80/20 Adventure Bikes
All of the bikes I've owned over the years have been equipped with the Anakee III tires and when they require replacing, I've always chosen to stay with the Anakee III's. I was very happy when I purchased my brand new BMW F750GS that it came equipped with my favorite tire! These tires easily last 10K+ miles and have never let me down on how well they ride in the hot dry environment in the Southwest US and when it does rain these tires easily handle the wet roads. I ride year round and have temperatures that range from as high as 110F to as low as 10F and these tires always stick to the road. I hope these never go away as I love them!
