Review Summary
The Michelin Premier LTX tires offer excellent ride quality, handling, and traction, especially in wet and snowy conditions. However, many customers report premature tread wear, often well before the advertised 60,000-mile warranty. Some had to replace the tires as early as 30,000-40,000 miles. Customers also noted issues with the warranty support, as the company was unwilling to fully honor the warranty when the tires wore out early. While the performance benefits are notable, the poor tread life and warranty concerns are significant drawbacks to consider.

Quiet and Smooth Ride
Great Tires for mid-size SUV's. Smooth and quiet ride and the traction is great on wet roads.

Terrible Tires
I am extremely disappointed with the Michelin Premium LTX tires. They were installed at my dealership just last year, and I have had all required maintenance done but after driving less than 20,000 miles, the dealership is telling me they already need to be replaced because the tread is worn down too less than 2/32. I expected much better durability from Michelin, especially considering their reputation and the price of these tires. Tires like these should last far longer than 20,000 miles under normal driving conditions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend these tires. I expected quality and longevity, but instead I'm facing an expensive replacement after only one year.

Awful so far!
Awful so far. Not balanced when installed, vibration in steering wheel. Returned after 3598 miles for rebalance, and now much worse. Vibration in steering wheel, all seats, etc. Had the same Michelin tires on this vehicle prior to this new set, and they were smooth as silk, never any issues. Absolutely no issues with the vehicle, this is strictly a quality issue with the tires, or installer issue with the balancing. Extremely frustrating to daily pay top dollar for inferior quality products, & poor service. GOING BACK AGAIN FOR REBALANCING OR REMOVAL OF TIRES THAT ARE OUT OF ROUND!!!!!!!

Dont even consider this tyre
In the first few months itself, multiple punctures , thread worn out in around 30k kms to 4/32. Better consider cross climate firehawk as v2 for non winter scenarios.

Poor quality and do not last.
Purchased these tires for our 2018 Audi Q5 Prestige 2.0. We are huge Michelin fans and use them on all of our vehicles. Unfortunately, this particular set were a huge disappointment. They offer next to no longevity and wore out within approximately 30K miles. They are also not especially smooth and are louder than we expected. Costco will not honor the warranty on these and the SA acknowledged that they are poor quality and do not last. Do better Michelin or we will no longer use your products nor recommend them to family and friends.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with your Michelin Premier LTX tires. Tread life and ride comfort can vary based on vehicle setup, alignment, and usage conditions. We recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized dealer, then contacting our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST). We’d be happy to assist further.

had under 35k on the tires and they are completely bald. I can see that this is an ongoing issue with this specific tire.

Worn to 2/32” After Only 24,000 Miles
I bought Michelin Premier LTX tires for my Lexus RX450hL because Michelin markets them as a premium touring tire with a 60,000 mile warranty. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. After only about 24,000 miles of mostly normal highway and suburban driving in the generally dry Bay Area climate, the tires measured roughly 2/32” tread remaining and are already essentially at replacement level. That is far earlier than expected for a premium tire at this price point. These tires were not subjected to snow, harsh winters, or unusually severe weather conditions. Most of their life has been in Northern California’s relatively mild and dry climate. The tires were quiet and comfortable when new, but tread life has been nowhere close to what I expected from Michelin. After researching online, I found many other owners reporting similarly poor tread life with the Premier LTX line. For a tire that costs this much and carries a 60k warranty, needing replacement around 24k miles is hard to justify. I would strongly recommend buyers research long-term treadwear reviews carefully before purchasing these tires.
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience. We’re sorry to hear that your Premier LTX tires did not deliver the tread life as expected. Tires falling apart - beware
45k miles in and these are coming apart on a Lexus GX460 ( 265-60-18), do not buy these tires. Would have been better off with some Ling Longs straight off of Amazon.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with your Premier LTX tires. Tire conditions like this can result from a range of factors, so we recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized tire retailer. They’ll be able to assess the condition and determine if any adjustments or next steps are needed. Once you have the results, give our Consumer Care team a call at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Great tire
Just great tires. My Lexus is a dream to drive on your tires. Good wear and they look marvelou

Don't get cheated by Michelin and dealer!!!
Recenty i noticed premature and unusual wear on my Premier LTX tires, including "peeling" where chunks of tire coming off. Current mileage on tires of 32,495 and a 60K mile warranty on the Premier LTX. I opened up a warranty case #05727132 where I was told that I would get a 31% warranty reimbursement, However, I was "tricked" by the dealer where they marked up the cost of the tires to a much higer price ($346 per tire which NOBODY would ever pay!) and then used MY warranty claim as a discount. So I am really NOT being properly compensated for having to replace my tires far sooner than I should have. For those reading this, do NOT buy these tires and do NOT let Michelin and your dealer mislead you and STEAL your warranty reimbursement. Both Michelin and Tire Choice are at fault here and should be held responsible for cheating me like this!
