Review Summary
The Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires are generally regarded as high-quality, long-lasting, and reliable all-season tires that provide a smooth, quiet ride and excellent traction in various weather conditions. Many customers report getting over 70,000 miles of use from these tires and praise their performance in rain, snow, and dry conditions. However, a subset of customers have experienced issues with excessive road noise, vibrations, and premature wear, while some felt the ride quality was harsher than expected. There were also a few reports of quality control problems.

I was promised a rebate of $60.00, of which I have never received. This upsets me since I have bought your tires since 1972.

Less then perfect
This is my second set and by far these are less then great, with only 36,000 miles on them they slip (hydroplane) when there is a little water on the road and they slip at start up even on dry roads. I have them rotated every 5,000 miles, I check and correct tire pressure every 30 days, I am wondering if the rubber is now a harder substance, hopefully they make it to 70,000 miles
Thanks for the honest feedback. Sounds like you’ve been taking great care of your tires, so we totally get your frustration. The Defender LTX M/S is designed for long-lasting traction, but performance can vary depending on wear, road conditions, and vehicle setup. We’d recommend having a local dealer take a look to see what’s going on. DONT LAST LONG
10% of the tread is left at 30,000 miles. No way it will make it to 70k miles. IMPOSSIBLE!
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to learn the tires did not meet your expectations in terms of mileage. We recommend visiting an authorized tire retailer for a thorough inspection. Once the inspection is complete, please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 (available Mon–Fri, 8am–7pm EST and Sat, 9am–1pm EST) to share their findings for our review.

Disappointed after 6 years
Bought set of 4 in Jan 2019. Put 50,000 miles on them and the massive cracks between the tread valleys are extremely troubling. All 4 tires have the massive cracks. I have a lot of tread left (65%), but I can't bring myself to drive with them because of how bad the cracks are. I've never seen cracks this bad on tires that are 10 years old let alone 6. Not spending my $ on these again.

Shrinkflation
Manufactured with far less tread depth compared to the LTX M/S. And further sold as a benefit to mileage ect. This seems to be the classic percentile grab directly from your pocket. I have always purchased Michelin tires for towing and was very pleased with the LTX M/S durability, wear, mileage, noise. Why sell as a premium tire and give less for the money?

Great tires. This is my second set.

Nice Firm Ride
These new tires get me wherever I want to go without any worries or concerns. Nice firm ride.

Great Handling
Well worth the extra m oney for quality and performance

Repeat Michelin customer on my truck
I been switching out the OEM tires on my new Chevy Silverado's to Michelin immediately after purchasing a new truck for over a decade. Every feature of them makes the truck more enjoyable to drive. They settle the vibration which then quiets the interior of the vehicle. I get longer longevity and the peace of mind knowing I have a quality tire that withstands the Arizona heat and horrible roads is a bonus!

best all-around tire on the market
I have used Michelin tires exclusively for 20+ years. I found them to be the quietest road tire and a great wet traction tire. I consistently get 50k+ care-free miles from them.
