Good tires
I really like these tires, they are Michelin quality. However, I am giving them 4 stars because my gas mileage was reduced 1-2 miles per gallon, as compared to my previous set of Michelins. The rolling resistance may be greater and they appear to be more of an all purpose/all terrain hybrid.

A very nice ride
Tires provide good traction without a lot of noise in the truck.

Confidence in any weather
245/65/R17 Second set in 10 years through some crazy winters. Working for a snow removal company I needed to be at work and Defender LTX always made that possible! Excellent tire and worth every penny!

This will be the third set of Defender LTX M/S that have been on my truck. The first set was on the truck when I bought it in 2013. That set had 83,000 miles on them. I then bought another set of the same tire hoping they would last as long as the first set. And they did even better with 90,000 miles on those. Now I have the third set on. I hope they do just as well. I check the tire pressure on a regular basis and rotate them every 10,000 miles. Both sets have worn very evenly and ride very nice. I live in MN and they do well in all four seasons. I drive a Honda Ridgeline and it handles very well with these tires.

Best Passenger Vehicle Tire Out There
Hands down, these are the best tires on the market for passenger vehicles. I've had these tires on 3 different vehicles now. 2 pickups and an SUV. Excellent traction, very smooth ride, and great durability. Provides confidence when on snow, ice, water or other slippery surfaces. Until one of these fails me prematurely, I will never put a different tire on any of my vehicles.

Great
Tires are great , perform excellent no issues , I would bye another set

Great tires
I bought the truck new this is the tire that was on it, I love them, they handle great, not that much noise and hold to the conners great. No other compares. in my opinion.

Always dependable Michelin Defenders
Only tires that I buy....Michelin Defenders. Number one tires for SUVs!

(-10/10) I wouldn't even gift these to the Anti-Christ.
The purchase of this set of Michelin tires has completely turned me off to the entire brand in every single possible way. They are horrendously loud. The "traction" is trash. I made the mistake of purchasing this set of tires 386 days ago (quite literally) and today replaced a second tire. That is with an overabundance of caution regarding maintenance. I bought them from Discount TIre, I initially thought they were so bad I brought my vehicle back in to have them looked at, they said they were doing what they were supposed to and to just give it time. Obviously, I took them to another Discount Tire location to have them checked out with them saying the same thing.. Was totally under the impression they were all plotting against me I took it to Les Schwab where I was humbled in how bad of tires these are and amongst all the tire gurus they are garbage. Steer clear.. cause with these cursed things you won't be able to.

I have been a very dedicated Michelin consumer. Please note this last set of 4 new Defender LTX's do not ride smooth and there are notable high spots when balancing (this is not a rim issue) - I just had the one that had the most severe high spot replaced compliments of your new tire purchase warranty. These new tires were purchased and mounted on 10/10/25 in Ft. Pierce, Florida at St. Lucie Battery and Tire. We are visiting our family now in Nashville for the holidays. Bass Tire in Nashville provided the service for the new tire. I did not drive on the open road at highway speeds until we left for Nashville which is when we noticed the rough ride situation. My open road ride now is better with the tire replacement here in Nashville, but when we get back home I will go back to St. Lucie Battery and Tire for a very thorough analysis of tires roundness and road force. Thank you very much for the courteous and respectful treatment you have given to my wife and me. Respectfully, Gary Webb.
