It's a great tire
We purchased this tire about a month ago. Great traction in all types of weather. Makes for a smooth ride.
Dry Rotting
Tires have approximately 60,000 miles on them. Purchased 1/23/2010. Dry rotted terribly on the side walls, all four at the same time. Brand new on the tread. After these four dry rotting prematurely I will not be purchasing Michelin tires again.
perfect tire for the pirce
I purchased these tires to replace a set of Asian tires that were original equipment on the SUV. The OE tires only lasted 35,000 miles and were as bad as you get in Wisconsin weather. These new Defenders are great on ice and snow and have a quite ride. They are harder then other tires I had so you do feel the bumps a little more in cold weather. I did get the 3 for 4 sale so saved a lot on the tires. The last set of LTX tires I had lasted 85,000 miles on an SUV so I expect the same from these. Many car companies are now using the cheap Asian tires to try to save money. I just is not worth it to get cheap tires and then have to replace .

Great Tire
I have had the Defender on my 2013 Ford Explorer for a few days. I almost didn't buy them because of reviews saying that they are noisy and have poor ride quality. I am glad that I didn't believe those reviews. These tires are as quiet as my old Latitudes and give me a good ride, plus I get the 70,000 mile warranty instead of 55,000 miles. Having the tires for only a few days, I haven't tried the in snow yet, but they have a good tread design to give good traction. I am very pleased with my decision to buy the Defender.

Best Tires!
We have been purchasing the Defender LTX tires for several years for all of our vehicles (van, sedans, and small compact cars). They do great in the snow and rain and have lasted well past the warranty. I recommend them to friends frequently and have been very happy with the Defenders.

Best tire i ever owned
These tires are awesome. The traction is great. The do great in any type of weather. These tires have almost no road noise. They make my 2008 feel like newer car with the way tires handle. These tires are well worth the money that cost you wont be sorry u purchased them

Great Tires
When are they going to be available again ( 275/70R16 114H) ?
Lots of noise from these tires
My husband bought a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires after getting it install he come to pick me up as he drive there's a loude noise...the ride is much rougher with the Defender tires than The road noise is also higher with the Defender tires. I am disappointed with the Defender poor qualit
Great tire! Deep tread but amazingly quiet
Did the reasearch and selected this tire sight unseen for my Ford Expedition. When I saw the tire in person I was concerned the aggressive tread would be noisy. So glad I didn't. The Defender LTX's are the quietest tires I've ever owned, and have excellent grip dry, wet, and even in snow.
