Are these a replacement for a dedicated snow tire?
People have told me the snowflake symbol means these are good in snow. Are these considered by Michelin to be a replacement for snow tires. It snows a lot in Utah.
The CrossClimate® is your one-stop solution that provides categoryleading, all-season performance in wet, dry and light snow conditions, along with class-leading treadlife. It’s built to overcome the variety of weather conditions drivers in both the U.S. and Canada regularly face.

Great wet weather handling
I bought these tires 4 mths ago. I live in south Florida and have had to drive thru wet roads with lots of traffic. They stop extremely well with no aquaplaning on my Toyota highlander. Noise is not overly loud. I have put 4,500 miles on the tires so far. I am very happy with the purchase.

great handling
great traction on wet roads

Excellent snow tire.
The cross climate 2's are a very good all around tire, they are a bit heavier than the street tires I had on before them, can tell a difference. They have excellent grip on dry and wet roads. I've had them in the snow a few times already this year with no issues at all. Would buy again.

Great tires
First of all they grip dry and wet roads so far, the SUV now has a sport filling while driving. When I break, it stops, not praying will, I stop, will I stop. Love them, getting another set for my other car

Good, but not Great (yet)
I purchased these to put on my Audi A6 Quattro to replace the stock Continental tires. There definitely is a difference in ride quality and very "grippy", but then again I will say that is probably true of any new set of tires. I've only put about 100 miles on them, mostly highway and residential roads. No rain and no snow yet, so I cannot confirm the claims of performance yet. All dry and speeds ranging from 0 to 75 mph. The ride is smooth, but not as smooth as the Continental but I expected such for such an aggressive tire tread. The one thing that I can say is that these are a little louder on the highway then what I was hoping for hence 4 stars. I thought the accoustic technology would have made them really quiet, but guess not. Maybe after the tread wears down some, they will become more quiet. The other thing I will say is that the tires sometimes go where the grooves in the road go, so you have to be on your toes. Will report back after the snowy season.

Quality Tire
Purchased these to replace P7 Cinturato all seasons. Wet and dry traction are great. Low noise. Firm / responsive feel. Made in USA for my size. (215/60/16). The given warranty along with the 3PMSF winter rating is what sold me on these tires. Price seems reasonable given the warranty and excellent reviews.

Disappointed with MPG
I purchase a set of these tires for a 2018 Mazda CX-5. We're anticipating a very active Winter season, and the original tires are our CX-5 had reached 35k. So we purchased the Cross Climate 2's from our local Discount tire store. After a putting a 1000 miles on these new tires, what I notice most about them is... we lost 3 mpg by switching to this tire. At a time of high fuel prices, this is unacceptable. Have not had an opportunity to drive in inclement weather other than rain. Tire seems good so far, aside from losing 3 mpg. If you value your MPG like we do. Don't purchase this tire.
JoeMT, thank you for providing feedback on your experience with CrossCimate 2 tires on your Mazda CX5. We are sorry to hear that the fuel efficiency did not meet your expectations. When new tires are installed on a vehicle the fuel efficiency will typically experience an initial drop compared with the worn tires that were removed. Over the life of a set of tires fuel savings will normally become evident.

Best Tires I’ve Ever Owned
I recently purchased four Cross Climate 2 tires and they have exceeded every expectation. From steering on tight turns to stopping distance they are superior to any tires I’ve owned. I have AKWAYS purchased Michelin tires but these are a cut above the rest

Wow
I bought these tires about a month ago and the quietness over the stock Brdgestone tires reall impressed me, but today in Calgary it rained all day and the amount of stability and no hdroplaning at freeway speeds exceeded my expectations.I can hardly wait to try them out on the snow. The stock tires seemed okay as its a Nissan Murano all wheel drive but honestly I would have upgraded to these tires from new for the extra dollars as I have never knew what a difference great tires are.
