Good results

2012 Harley - Davidson Electra Glide Classic FLHTC. Installed May 18th 2022, Today is May 6th 2025. 36 psi front and 40 psi rear. 1up - average 35 pounds of gear and a 230 pound driver. Tires have clocked 16,105 miles. The front has .065" of tread remaining at its narrowest point center of tire with no significant cupping. The rear has .080" remaining same measurement position. This bike averages 772.3 miles a month mostly in 60 to 90 degree dry weather and altitudes from sea level to 7000+ feet, and have seen colder and wetter days. Handling and stability are excellent. On some western freeways they make noise but in areas that my GMC's truck Goodyear, Jeeps Firestone tires do the same, road not tires? Looking at 20K before replacement. Have ridden Metzler 880's, Metzler 888's, and Pirelli Nite Dragons all replaced around 12K miles. Have a 1990 Harley - Davidson Sport Glide FXRT same baggage and driver that run Michelin Commander II's, Typically see 18,000 miles before replacement with no excessive cupping. Those replaced Metzler 880's because cupping became excessive after 8 to 10K miles and chattered through every turn. The FXRT being the best handling Harley - Davidson ever built, with a lean angle of 41 degrees requires tires that can handle the twisties, they have and they will, for many years to come. Rider since 1972

Great tire! stop complaining and start driving

I read a number of negative stories about this comm3. and do not understand them. What a fantastic tire, in rain and dry weather, just great! There was not much wrong with my standard Dunlop on my touring Harley, but still missed the feedback from the tire for complete confidence, which I now have. More lean angle possible and smoother driving behavior. In short, a happy person, with this comm3. under my bike. My wife has a bobber with the cruiser version and has also been very happy with the Michelin comm3 under it for years. Now after the comm2 version these are way better.

I expected more

I bought these tires 5 years ago (march 2020). I have 12600 miles on them. This is my first set of Michelin MC tires. They are decent tires in the rain and dry. Rain doesnt bother me gravel and sand in the curves ,YES I just haven't been as comfortable on these as the Dunlop American Elite. I keep my tires air properly , I weigh 250 don't over load the bike, don't ride very aggressive. I expected better mileage on these Commander III tires. I enjoy twisting the throttle and leaning in the curves but at 70 not as much the younger me. The Dunlop American Elite were only slightly better on miles but for me they had much better ride and handling. If Dunlop American Elite were not available this would be my second choice. Also this is the first time I had the front tire wear out quicker down the wear bar on front about 1/32nd before the rear. the front tire started out with less tread. I look forward to the day of 25000 mile tires. Im retired and look forward to riding into the sunset. PS What is up with line in the center of the tires

Not worth the money

After the second season a vibration was felt through the handle bars.Replaced front bearings and no change. I don’t expect anything besides lip service. I went back to Dunlops, cheaper and last longer.
