Review Summary
Customers praise these tires for excellent grip on wet roads, quiet ride comfort, and strong handling performance, with many calling them top-notch and worth the investment. However, a substantial group reports significant disappointment with tread wear, noting replacement needed between 22,000 and 35,000 miles despite proper maintenance—well below advertised durability claims. Some loyal customers report exceptional longevity, while others express frustration that recent purchases underperform compared to past experiences. Overall, performance excels but premature wear remains a major concern for many.

I love these tires. I hope they continue to make them. they have great handling traction and comfort. No road noise. So quiet when rolling down the road. I have had nothing else on my Ford Edge cars. They also coast well and help save on gas mileage. The last set had great long wear.

2025 Mercedes Benz GLS 580
I traded my OEM Continental tires on my 2025 Mercedes Benz GLS 580 after 8500 miles because they didn't last. They gave a very soft and quiet ride. Mercedes recommended 31 psi in front and 37 psi in the rear. Discount Tire put in 44 psi all-round. Pilot Sport 4's are extremely noisy at that tire pressure and givies a very hard ride so I am reducing the tire pressure to what Mercedes recommends. Hopefully that will soften the ride and quiet the road noise. Hopefully that tire pressure will not damage the tires.
Thanks for sharing your experience and for choosing the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV. Sorry to hear about the noise and ride comfort. Tire pressure can make a big difference, so adjusting to your vehicle’s recommended settings is a great move and won’t harm the tires. This should help improve both comfort and road noise. Handling, grip, traction
A superb tire, the best. Had Sports on my Cayman S and my Audi S3. Handles like its “sister” the Macan S.

We cover a lot of miles & go thru a front set every 12mths and the rears need replacing after 18mths. The Michelin pilot sport fours are really excellent however, especially the sidewall construction on impact with the occasional pot hole.

Excellent tyres in all areas - great grip wet and dry with compliant ride and low noise levels!

>> The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width.
>> Section width varies approximately 0.2" (5mm) for every 0.5" change in rim width.
>> Tread patterns are often tuned to accomodate different tire widths. Tires for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the tire shown in the photograph.
WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.
Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.
For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.
For speeds over 160mph (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
W-Speed Rated Sizes:
| Maximum Speed (mph) | 118 | 124 | 130 | 136 | 143 | 149 | 155 | 161 | 168 |
