Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

Poor tread life for wet and snow traction

These were the OE tires on my 2022 Explorer. By 25,000 miles the light snow and wet traction was bad. The dry traction and tire noise were decent. I replaced them at 37,000 miles with a different brand since the hydroplaning in wet weather was getting worse. I have the same tires on a Bronco Sport and expect the same problems.

Chassis engineer, we're sorry to read that you were disappointed in the original tires on your Explorer. We certainly don't want you to have the same opinion of the tires on your Bronco. To gather more information about the complaint, one of our team members will be reaching out to you.

These tires need to be recalled

The tires have 1 ply sidewall. They are prone to easy blow out. I got 2 tires blown out at once turning 10 miles per hour on a road that had slightly uneven surface.

Most terrible tire EVER

I’d give this tire 0 stars if I could. This is the MOST delicate cheaply made tire i’ve gotten 5 flats! And no i’m not driving like a maniac these tires are terrible the people who work at my local toyota dealership say people come in all the time needing a new tire because they’ve gotten a flat and it’s these tires. Bought a tire 8 months ago and already a flat. They cost too much to be this cheap. Get different tires if you’re looking for some

Stay away

These tires came stock on my hyundai Ioniq 5. I already have to replace them at 20k miles! I have rotated them and done all the manufacturer visits were are rather excessive. The car is driven 90% of the time in eco mode which I call grandma mode. So it is not from aggressive accelerations or driving. The tires are already bare on the outside of 3 tires. Do not buy! The tires don't last at all.

Doctor, we're sorry to read that your tires need to be replaced. The first step is to have the tires inspected by an authorized Michelin retailer in your area. Please have the dealer contact us while you are there.

Hope This Is A One Off

These tires came as OME on my new 2021 Ford Explorer Limited Hyrid, which I purchased in July 2021. At about 26K miles several tire shops (Discount, Big O, Walmart Auto) recommended I replace my tires. Now at 31K I'm forced to replace ties that are supposed to have a 45K mile guarantee. Michelinman, I will be calling you!

Poor quality from a brand name tire

These tires came on our new Ford Explorer. Started out great, but at about 30k miles began to roar and track bad to either side with any slight imperfection in the road. Always rotated on time as supposed to be and we’re already having to replace them at 35k miles

Disappointed :( in this Tire

These tires came with my 2023 Honda Pilot. They are very dodgy.....groves on the freeway pull the car off track and do not feel solid. Less than 90 days in and predict it is only going to get worse

MICHELINĀ® Acoustic Technology may be faulty

A section of the MICHELINĀ® Acoustic Technology came loose. Caused tires to be severely unbalanced at 50 to 60 mph. Hyundai dealership says they may or may not take responsibility but they have to see the tires in person. Unfortunately, that means 150 mile trip to the closest dealership, even though the local Michelin dealer first identified the problem. Problem started about 16k miles and caused me to pay balancing fees twice.

joeferal, we're sorry to read of this issue. It is not necessary to travel back to the Hyundai dealership if an authorized Michelin retailer is aware of the problem. A member of our team will be calling you to work with the local Michelin retailer on initiating a warranty claim.

Never again!

Bald tire Rusty, it is unfortunate that both sets have worn prior to delivering the mileage expected. There is a mileage warranty on the last set of tires, in which case you should have received credit based on the mileage received. A team member will be in touch to discuss further and help with a solution.
