Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

Great tires

I bought my car in 2020 brand new and this is the first time I have changed these tires. The primacy tour were the tires that were on the car and I was so happy to get them again. I would recommend these tires to everyone with the nitrogen and not just air as for some reason the nitrogen makes your tires last longer. Thank you Michelin for a great tire.

Foam failure causes dangerous vibration and dealers are clueless

Foam came loose at about 6,000 miles and created violent vibrations. Nightmare of dealing with dealers who know nothing, but feeling I needed to work with them to not compromise any warranties. Can't believe Michelin hasn't worked with Hyundai to inform their dealers of this dangerous issue. Finally went to Discount Tire who knew right away and tore the crap foam out, which solved the problem

Acoustic Foam comes loose. Terrible design, avoid if possible!

These tires have a well-known issue where the sound dampening acoustic foam instead can come loose, causing the tire to come out of balance, which can be dangerous at highway speeds. Happened to me on original tires, only 23k miles. Look it up online, there are many people who have encountered this. Now I'm trying to get the dealership to remove the foam or deal with a warranty claim. People who have had shops remove the foam report that the difference in road noise is unnoticeable.

Smooooothhh!

Who knew you can actually ride on air? I didn’t think my tires were “that” bad, BUT now I know just how out of whack they really were. Fantastic, light ride, easy to maneuver…you just have to be careful you don’t take a snooze..they are that smooth!,

66,000 miles and going!

These tires came OEM on my 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrid XSE. I have driven from Atlanta to Dallas to Pittsburgh and everywhere in between on these tires putting more than 30,000 mi a year on them. I've rotated them every 5,000 mi and balanced them every 10,000 mi with an alignment at 30,000 mi. The traction, ride and longevity have been exceptional! At my 65,000 mi service the Toyota dealership said the tread is now down to 5/32 and I'll need to get a new set when I come in for the $70,000 mi service. Definitely getting a Michelin tire for round two.

HORRIBLE

Absolutely Horrible Tires! Bought a 2023 Prius and these tires were stock, I've had 3 issues within a Year. One ruined tire and 2 bubbles. Can't even get a replacement because they don't make the tire often

2023 Ioniq 5 11k Miles. Had the foam come apart on one tire that created dangerous shaking when at 55+ mph. Michellin is telling the dealer that they won't cover replacement beyond 55% for one tire. Pretty unbelievable that they cannot even stand behind their product, so that should tell you if you need to look elsewhere or not.
