Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prevented a death Put these on 2012 Mazda 3. Being a small and light weight car it always had wet surface grip problems. Michelins T+H prevented me from killing a person that randomly drove a bicycle across the street during a late night rain storm. I was able to stop really quick without sliding or even getting ABS engaged. All on wet pavement. Grateful for these tires. With my previous tires he or she would have been hit and thrown 10-15 feet forward

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Used to be good, now...Not so long lasting (i'm retired Im old retired guy driving sedately in my 2015 Kia Soul. My last set lasted wonderfully, however; this set lasted half that with the same retired driving style, perfect rotation and inflation, as this old guy does. I may expect +/- 5%, but this is waaay out of spec. It's like the French gave this load to the Americans to manufacture. We're moving on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loudest Michelin tire After many years and many miles, took off a set of Michelin Primacy tires and replaced them with Michelin Defender T + H tires on my wife's 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited. These Defender T+H are are loudest Michelin tires I ever hand a car. They were load enough that I though it may have been a wheel bearing, but the Toyota dealer said it was the tires. Previous tires were quiet Michelin HydroEdge on a Nissan Maxima and Michelin Premier on a Buick Lucerne. I should have bought Michelin Premier which were smoothest quietest tires ever. But bought the Defender T+H because of the extreme long tread life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so long lasting Advertised to last 90k, got 65k. Rotated every 10k. Aligned at install, and miles are 60 percent highway. Average tire considering the price paid. Went to alternative tire brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tires but stiff rides at times Got these four tires to replace my Dunlop Signature CS tires that had 28,000 miles on them. Had a nail on each rear tires (one of which had to be replaced because of shoulder puncture), and given that my front passenger tire was repaired but still leaking air and the fact I had early tread dry rot, I decided to shell out the money to replace all tires on my CUV for safety. First thing I noticed was a more comfortable ride at the expense of worse gas MPG. The old tires had me at 24-25 MPG in the city, while the new ones was 19-20 MPG. At least it holds air unlike my old ones. Even in extreme temperatures of TX, I never had to fill up the tires. My old ones, I had to fill up even if it didn't have a nail in them. I never believe the mileage claim of 80K miles and only expect between 30-40K at most before replacement.
