Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

Worst Tire Experience

These came on our new Tesla Model 3. Tires are the T0 variation. The handing in wet conditions is horrible and dry is mediocre. The fact the Tesla is putting these on cars is ridiculous. I would prefer ultra high performance tires and take the low milage than these tires. Also, we have only driven the car just over 8,000 miles and the tread depth is 4/32. If the first review I saw here also relates to this tires life at around 8,000 miles, there must be more. *This is my 18th vehicle, several high performance like AMG, with all sorts of tires.

Failure at 8000 miles.

Acoustic foam disintegrated after 8000 miles. Michelin will not warranty the tire as it was original equipment (OE) to the car.

Great tire in all different conditions s

These tires came new on our 2024 Kia Sportage PHEV. They have performed extremely well in the inters in Utah and warm temperatures in Florida. They are very quiet and provide a smooth ride with excellent traction. We have over 11000 miles on them and they show little wear. We could not be happier.

LEAKY TIRE

We bought a new 2024 Toyota COROLLA CROSS LE AWD on April 18, 2024 from the Toyota dealer in Victoria. We have driven this new car less than 2,500 km so far (up to end of March 2025) and one of the tires (1B9 22 031X 0324) pressure warning sign keep on coming up even we have pumped up to full pressure of 33psi but the sign will come up again after one shot trip to the town(about 15 min drive). I had the same experience before with my previous new 2016 Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid that I had to replace one of the Michelin tires within one year of little driving milage. in my previous case the dealer said that tire is non-repairable and I had to buy a new tire for the RAV 4. therefore my question is all Michelin tires are non-repairable when theres a flat?

Medioce Tire, Not Recommended for Snowy Climates

Tires came new on a '22 RAV4 AWD (Gas). Needed replaced at 46,000 miles (typical on PA roads that tires only last about 2/3 of their rated mileage. Tires drove okay, nothing great, nothing terrible. They were however not well suited for western PA winter snow season. Replaced with Kumho Crugen HT51's and the difference was night and day for snow traction. Those Kumho's were just now replaced at 59,000 miles (could have gone a bit longer, but alignment was out and wore down the tire edges severely). I'm now on to trying out the Crossmax CHTS-1 budget tires which are doing well on my in-laws vehicle.

Mark, we are sorry to hear you experienced a tire problem. The first step is to take the tire in question to an authorized retailer for an inspection. Any tire would need to be available for inspection to be considered for a warranty claim. If the tire is still available, we will be glad to speak to the tire dealer and get their findings, just give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri.

I recommend this tire

Long lasting, great fuel economy

We have OE Michelin Primacy All Season on our '22 RAV4 HEV, we have 47K miles on them so far and they are holding up very well. I thought that a tire that had only 8.5/32nd new would wear down fast but no, they are still well above the wear indicators. It also delivers an amazing 42.5mpg at the pump over the 47K miles.

Wear down too quickly

At 24,00 miles my dealership that I bought the new vehicle from told me these tires need to be replaced fir the tread being worn out. They have a 55,000 mile warranty and the dealership won't honor it. Avoid this tire if you want to spend wisely.

94k miles and still tread left.

bought a 2020 Explorer new. we now have 94k miles and still have tread left. dealership say we will need new tires in the near future. Tires are quiet, great in rain, snow, summer driving. will be replacing with the same tires since they have worn really well over their life.
