Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

PATHETIC

i bought 2023 ford escape st line 10/03/2023 brand new. it had 6 (six) miles on it, those 6 miles was me test driving it. with that being said i have had normal maintenance done. at first maintenance was 20 nov 2023 mileage 5316 with tread depth 5mm to3mm with reading in yellow. now fast forward to 27 feb 2024 service milage at 15621(yes it was service at 10000 miles), tires tread depth was 4. after reading the reviews just dumb founds me. i was told i need to get them replace. checked your warranty is 55,000 miles(where does this happen). i was always told to go with michelin tires, but now i know i should go with my guts on this and go back tothe company i have used since 2007. these are unsafe and you have known this for some time. you need to step up like firestone had to do in 1999 and replace on ford products (the explorer) and my ford truck.. these tires are OEM. someone is going to get seriously hurt or worst killed. i just can not see how these tires wear so bad.

I recommend this tire

These worked well for me on a Rav4 Hybrid!

Bought these to replace the OEM Dunlop tires that were showing cord at 30k miles. The Michelins are a LOT quieter and ride nicer. The only down side and why only 4 stars was the MPGs took a near 10% hit as I now am only seeing 40-41 MPG. These tires are sure footed in rain and the limited ice / snow I've driven them in with the hybrid's AWD drivetrain. i have over 55k on them so they went the distance. While they are due for replacement, I wouldn't think twice about a cross country road trip with them as they are! The only reason I'm considering something else is I miss 44+ MPG and my 2nd Rav4 Hybrid ('23 XSE) does this regularly.

Tread life and traction the worst of any Michelin tire.

Very poor tread life and all season grip. Like others, the tread is nearly gone on a 2021 toyota sienna in less than 24000 miles. I may have more tread life with winter tires and at least get great traction. The only positive, these tires survived being hit by a 6x6 at highway speed. Will the cross climate 2 be a notable upgrade? I hope so.

Quiet tires

I brought a new 2022 Lexus Rx 350 back in January of 2022. These tires came on the vehicle as stock tires. These tires are very quiet but I had a blowout on one of the tires with just 7k miles on them back in August of 2022. I called Michelin customer service and told them about the issue. I was told to take the vehicle to a certified dealer to inspect the tire. I was told that my Lexus dealer was a certified dealer. I took it to my Lexus dealer and was told that the tire expert could not find a cause for the blowout. The dealer then told me that Michelin was only willing to cover half the cost of a new tire. Since then I noticed that these tires are really bad in snow, and very uncomfortable in bumpy roads, compared to my 2010 Outback with the Michelin Defenders on it. The only thing good about the tires is that they are very quiet tires.

Terrible tread life, scary worn wet performance. Almost zero snow and ice traction

These were OEM on my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid Limited. As of today, 19,000 miles on the odometer, they are worn to 5/32 in the front, 6/32 rear. Vehicle has had regular rotations and pressure kept to max value in the door. Snow and ice traction with these is abysmal if not dangerous. All-season is not a term I would to describe these tyres. I think these should be classified as Summer Tyres. When new, these tyres were amazing in wet weather and were very quiet. Now that they are worn, they hydroplane when encountering even shallow puddles at speed. At highway speeds they are almost dangerous. The noise alone from them is now unbearable. It is extremely bad on grooved concrete and worn asphalt Interstates to the point that I can barely carry out a conversation at normal volumes. I have been a faithful Michelin buyer in the past. Models such as the MXM4, Defender T & H, Premier A/S, Hydroedge Line all have been equipped on my vehicles. But these tyres are the worst of any brand I have ever used. I plan on replacing these tyres early, before the they are worn to limits with new set from another manufacturer.

Quite, But no Traction.

These tires came Stock on my 2022 Ford Maverick. The tires are quite and provide a smooth ride. The traction is terrible, with 7/32 tread depth on all tires, the front tires always slip in light rain. Heavy rain causes major hydroplaning and traction issues. Would not recommend these for replacement tires.
