Review Summary

The tires provide excellent grip and performance in both dry and wet conditions, with many customers reporting good mileage from the front and rear tires. However, some users have experienced issues such as premature wear, pulling to the left, and increased noise over time. While most customers are very satisfied with the overall quality and capabilities of the tires, a minority have encountered problems.

Great for the twisties even when wet.

I do a lot of hair raising steep twisties on wet mountain roads with these Road 6 tires. No slippage or break in the traction patch due to water, or even traction control warnings on my rear tire. While they are soft enough really to grab the asphalt on a lean, they are very durable (unavoidable sharp stones and scree haven't marred them). They ride really nice and are very comfortable when properly inflated. These are my favorite everyday tires.

Pulls left

Had these mounted, and they needed a lot of weights to balance, compared to my previous tires. Run out more than 2.5mm. Biggest issue is bike pulls left. Tried to contact Michelin by the warranty number on their website, they don’t answer and do not return calls.

Best Tire on my Honda ST1300

I've currently got 5300 miles on these Road 6's & they are a big difference over the road 5's big time..BIG TIME confidence in the rain & the twisties! I've got a good amount of tread life left but my riding season is over here in northern Illinois. I'll wind up ordering a new set over the winter (as I always do) & have them put on in the spring since I don't wanna change out tires while on the road come summer 2024 once I hit the road. This is gotta be my 5th or 6th Michelin tire on this bike & they've all been great except for maybe mileage but these Road 6's have conquered that!! The Honda ST1300 is known to be the heaviest Sport/Touring bike on the road so I take that into consideration on mileage in the past.

Hi jack, thank you for your review of our Michelin Road 6 tire! Glad you feel the amazing wet grip and cornering ability!

Great tires - particularly in the wet

I went on a 2,000 mile road trip around Colorado and Utah with 3 friends - all of us in road 6s. We all thought the 6s were an excellent tire in the dry. But where this tire really shines is in the wet. In a steady rain, over multiple mountain passes with temps from the 40s to the 70s - these tires were predictable, grippy and confidence inspiring. If these tires last as long as claimed, I would have found a new favorite.

Hi Daniel, thank you for your review of our Michelin Road 6 tire! We are excited you appreciate its grip in both dry and wet conditions! Please leave us another review about its longevity when you are about to retire them! Check your mailbox for some swag in the next few weeks!

Great tire, but still wears quickly

I replaced the OEM Continentals on my 2021 R 1250 GS. The rear is at the wear bars with

Michelin Road 6 Tire Experience

I have just over 12,000 miles on a set of Michelin Road 6 tires. The rear tire is very close to the wear bars, the front tire still has plenty of tread depth, but is showing signs of cupping. The majority of the mileage was ridden with side cases loaded as I traveled cross country twice. About 4,000 miles was ridden two up and loaded with camping gear. I am impressed with the wear as well as handling of these tires. I look forward to installing another set of the Michelin Road 6 tires.

Hi Sharron, thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback.

Pilot Road 6

I have a Kawasaki Concours 14. I have been using the Road 6 since last year.. I am on my third set of tires. Good tires but the life span is very short I average 4000 miles per set. They are pricey and I was expected them to last longer. I am missing something? I maintain a 42PSI as recommended. I do not abuse my bike or the tires. I am planning to use Pirelli or Metzeler in the future

BMWMOA Rally and the Michelin Booth

I recently attended my first BMW MOA rally and I stopped by the Michelin tire booth to let everyone know my wonderful experience I have had with the new Road 6 tires. I switched from the Road 5 last September to the Road 6 on my 2016 BMW R1200GSA with 101k miles at the time. I just replaced the rear Road 6 with 15k on it and about to do the front with 16k in it. It took some getting used to at first but I love how these tires handle all aspects of my riding style. ( Commuter, Long Distance and all types of weather). To get 15k out of a rear tire makes me happy. I noticed a difference in the fell versus the 5's and 4's previously used on my bike. Uneasy at first but now that I know what to expect I am enjoying these tires tremendously. I feel that they have a harder center which at first I was uneasy going into corners during my commute but I feel that this is what has made the lasting mileage increase. From starting on Anakee 3 as OEM tires to switching to the 4, 5 and now 6 I have enjoyed sticking with Michelin tires for my bike. Keep up the good work Michelin.

Hi Martin, thank you for your review of our MICHELIN Road 6 tire! It was great seeing you at the BMW MOA rally!

Best Tires….Ever!

I’ve owned several versions of Michelin Motorcycle Tires including Road 2, 4, 5 Trail and now Road 6. These are by far the best all around Motorcycle Tires I’ve ever owned! They’re quiet, great on the street and the occasional gravel trail. During a recent rain event they felt very confident an sure footed even in the curves of the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.

Love these tires

Bought these tires as a replacement for my 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4s which came from the factory with pirelli scorpion trail 2 tires. I have kept the OEM tires on my last multitrada and have about 40,000 mi of use on them. As soon as I switch to the new road 6 I immediately felt and increase in performance and handling, acceleration and braking felt sharper, cornering felt more stable, all around on road these tires have been phenomenal. They have a slight drawback compared to the scorpion trail 2 with loose terrain but they are not meant to be dual sport tires. Overall tread life isn't a extreme as I would have liked, getting about 8-10,000 mi out of a rear which has been typical for sports touring tires for this bike. For an overall sports touring tire, these are hard to beat.
