Review Summary

The tires provide excellent grip and performance in both dry and wet conditions, with many customers reporting good mileage from the front and rear tires. However, some users have experienced issues such as premature wear, pulling to the left, and increased noise over time. While most customers are very satisfied with the overall quality and capabilities of the tires, a minority have encountered problems.

Great for the twisties even when wet.

I do a lot of hair raising steep twisties on wet mountain roads with these Road 6 tires. No slippage or break in the traction patch due to water, or even traction control warnings on my rear tire. While they are soft enough really to grab the asphalt on a lean, they are very durable (unavoidable sharp stones and scree haven't marred them). They ride really nice and are very comfortable when properly inflated. These are my favorite everyday tires.

Best tires by far!!!!!

Well, this is my 3rd pair of Road Pilot tires and can say that they are the best tires for for rain, and longevity bar none. The last set of Road Pilot 5's when 20,000 km's, I've never had a set of tires go over 10,000 km's. I've had all the top brands and nothing comes close. My wife and I went across Canada and put on 15,000kms of riding and still going strong.

Great tires

Purchased these tires to replace Pirelli's. They are great, everything I expected from them. Will always stick with Michelin.

Highest quality and performance.

Bought Road 6s from Cycle Gear in April and had them installed by my Yamaha dealer on a 2022 Tracer 9 GT. They replaced the Bridgestone T32s which were OEM. It was like getting a new bike; turn in, confidence, smoothness, comfort all noticeably improved. For sport touring, they will be my go to tire from this point on.

Downgraded

Michelin had the perfect tire with the Road 5 GT, it they failed with the ‘improved’ Road 6 GT. I was able to get 6k miles (service intervals) out of a set of 5 GT tires on my RT. With the 6 GT, I get only slightly over half that many miles. Super disappointing. I hope Michelin just re-releases the 5 GT and calls it their new and improved 7 GT.

Bob27, thank you for your feedback. The wear of a tire can vary depending on riding style, usage, load, riding conditions, and proper inflation. It is always recommended to take your bike in to a local dealer for inspection to see if there could be any underlying conditions.

Pulling left when you take your hands off the bars

I had the Road 5's on my 2017 FZ10 and loved them! So when my new 2023 Hayabusa needed tires I got a set of Road 6's installed. Now I also have the problem of the bike pulling LEFT with I take my hands off the bars. I have been riding for 28 years and owned over a dozen motorcycles and this is a new issue I've not seen before. Apparently the tires made in Spain are the ones affected. I'm really disappointed and I'm by far not the only one with this issue. Please Michelin do something about this.

Pulls to the left!

Great tire, good grip, fun to flick around. But the moment you take your hands from the handle bars, as you do sometimes to stretch for example, the bike pulls hard to the left.

Pull to left

I purchased the Road 6's in July 2023 and finally mounted them (May 2024) on my 2016 GSA. The tires felt fine on the first ride during cornering, but pull to the left with "hands-off". Never felt this before, and very disconcerting. I'm disappointed.
