The best ever.
Road 4 tires are the best available in heavy rain. I ran into a downpour west of Bangor last year. The highway was like a river and traffic was moving fast. My worries fell away when the tires stuck to the pavement like glue. Excellent performance on dry pavement too. Always pleased with Road series tires.

Great Tire
Over the past 4 decades I have ridden on numerous motorcycles on a multitude of tire brands. I found the overall performance with longevity of the pilot roads to be the best in the business.
Thank you kurt for your review ! Glad you are enjoying our Road 4 GT tires!

great sport tour tire
I got 10K miles out of my Pilot 4 GT tires. I ride a 2015 Yamaha FJR. I ride it as a touring bike and as a sport bike. The tires handle better and are more robust than the original tires. I push the bike hard on twisty roads to include the Tail of the Dragon. It would be hard to find a better handling street tire.

My Reborn Honda ST1300
These Road Pilot 4GT's are without a doubt the best preforming tires I've road on...incredible handling on my '07 Honda ST1300..I was putting Dunlop Roadmasters on in the past..series l..ll...& lll's..I couldn't get decent mileage of them & left side on front always worn more..I was told by a Dunlop Rep that they are aware of the ST1300's short Roadmaster tire life & say it's the heaviest Sport Tour bike out there so it is what it is..got about 5200 miles out the last set..nevrer more that 7K & decided to make a change to RP 4GT's..so far 2100 miles & no sign of real wear riding on tough Colorado/Wyoming/South Dakota Black Hills roads that have high grit & high crowns which can wear that left side out quick..My ST1300 was reborn with these RP 4GT's & a new confidence in pushing my riding a bit more in the mountain twistie's...Thanks Michelin for a excellent tire for my ST1300!!!

2nd set / no improvement for my BMW1600GTL
I’ve been a Michelin guy for over 25 years. A little pricey but, I loved the way they handle. I have nothing but Michelin’s on all of my 6 motorcycles. I put a set of the Pilot Road 4 GT’s on my 2012 BMW K1600GTL and after about 2500 miles the front had cupping and the rear had the flat spot down the middle. I figured this was a fluke or possibly defective tires. Seeing that I’m a Michelin guy, I decided to purchase another set and give them another shot. So after about 2700 miles on the new set of tires....the same phenomenon. I followed the proper air pressure and load for the tires (for both sets). Yes, I was disappointed that this tire is not for my GTL1600. I’m in the process of switching to a different tire manufacturer for my GTL. I’m hoping that Michelin resolves this issue so I can come back as a loyal customer. Oh, and no the Pilot Road 5GT is not available for my GTL1600. I do have a set of the Pilot Road 5GT’s on my 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200 with no issues.
