Review Summary
The tires provide good traction, especially in wet conditions, and offer a comfortable and confident ride. However, some customers reported experiencing vibration and noise issues, particularly at higher speeds, though this issue may disappear when the bike is leaned into a turn. Additionally, a few customers noted the tires wore out prematurely, requiring replacement after around 5,000 miles of use.

Comander 3's best tire ever !!!
My rear had 23,000 miles on it and still had tread left. I just changed it out for thus season, the front has 28,000 on it still looks great even the sidewalls still look like I used tire shine on them and I don't. Just all around good dang tires that make me feel safe no matter the weather or road conditions!!! Thanks for a great product. Darren from Michigan's thumb on a harley ultra classic .

Excessive Road Noise
Front tire wore on one side causing lot of road noise at approximately 5000 km. Still lots of threat but excessive wear on one side.

Commander 3 disappointment.
I've only used Michelin tires on most of my vehicles, but I was very disappointed when I got these c3s, There is so much vibration sound coming from this tire at 55 to 60 mph, anything over its quiet anything under its quiet. So.e people say it the tread design, is it? I've owned the road 5 and road 6 and those tires are on Point, you feel confident in the turns, love them its the only tire I run I. The north west. Can you guys please correct this and design a cruiser tire for street glide that shares the same charestics of the road 5 or 6. That would be awesome 👌. Until then dunlap got my business. Feel free to reach out if you want to keep me as a loyal customer. Best regards.

Save your money.
Bought these for my 08 street glide. And of course got the front end vibration other people talk about. Call Michelin to try and get a refund and they told me they don’t give refunds. Worst experience I’ve had buying tires. Especially when they were so expensive!! I will never buy another set of Michelin tires for anything I own.
Hi Derrick, thank you for sharing your experience. Because we want the best experience for all our consumers and to ensure we collect the correct information about your particular issue, our warranty process for all tire issues involves a local tire installer before THEY process the claim with their distributor. Ideally, your new tires would be installed that same day by your same installer.

12,500 Miles and still going strong!
Great tires! I have had Commander 3's on my 2016 Road Glide Ultra now for several years with over 12,500 miles on this current set. No complaints at all. I have ridden many miles over hot SoCal highways, thru many rain storms and even a couple of light snow storms and the tires have never let me down. I would highly recommend these tires!

Horrible tire on wet roads
I have less than 1500 miles on my Commander III tires and the other day I hit wet roads while doing 55mph, the tires hydroplaned and I came the closest I have ever come to crashing at highway speeds. In looking at the tires there is not tread in the center of the tire to funnel out water. Very dangerous tire on wet roads!

Michelin commander III
I really like the handling of this tire and love the ride.

Bad vibration
I have approximately 2000 miles on the tires, Between 30 miles an hour and 80 miles an hour I have a very bad vibration coming from the front tire, Also there is A very pronounced ridge in the center of the front tire. I went back to the dealership that Sold and installed the tires on my bike And they confirmed there's a issue with the front tire. They have indicated to me that they have received no response from michelin in regards this matter. Do believe I should get more than 2000 miles out of a set of Tires. It sucks I may have to replace front and back and go with another brand

Front vibration
I have been getting a vibration since I had the tires installed but was not worried about it at first. I has now gotten significantly worse. I have replaced the neck bearings, the breaks, rotors, wheel bearings and even changed out the windshield trying to chase this vibration. Then like magic, right before I decided to buy new rotors fearing the one I have are warped; I found other customers describing the same vibration I was experiencing. This morning proceeded to 8 Ball Tire in Kearney Mesa (GREAT SHOP BTW) and they verified that the tires were balanced and the wheel was fine. I still had to ride home on the old vibration cursed tire because 8Ball said Michelin had to approve the warranty claim. They even had a copy of the memo from Michelin in the shop describing the issue. Why do I have to deal with this issue after paying hundreds of dollars more for the Commander 3s than the comparable competitor tires and have to deal with red tape to get the customer happy and on two. Waiting to hear back for 8Ball to see if I'm SOL or I will get taken care of under warranty.
