Review Summary
The tires provide good traction, especially in wet conditions, and offer a comfortable and confident ride. However, some customers reported experiencing vibration and noise issues, particularly at higher speeds, though this issue may disappear when the bike is leaned into a turn. Additionally, a few customers noted the tires wore out prematurely, requiring replacement after around 5,000 miles of use.

Bad review
The tires have around 3K miles on them and they are cupping out bad. Terrible in the corners I want my money back or a set of Commander II
Beefman, thank you for your feedback. The wear of a tire can vary depending on riding style, usage, load, riding conditions, and proper inflation. It is always recommended to take your bike in to a local dealer for inspection to see if there could be any underlying conditions.

I got sold the wrong tires
The tires look nice but I got sold the wrong ones I believe because they constantly need to get air pumped and the bike is already heavy as it is having a flat tire feeling constantly makes a hard time pushing the motorcycle. I was overwhelmed by just looking for new tires so I just took what was offered to not look like I didn’t know about motorcycles. I later found out there is only two brands that are accepted by Yamaha for this motorcycle and if you think about it this exhaust pipe get very hot don’t want tubes tires near high heat hence why in the owners manual it’s recommended tubeless tires.

Exceptional Tire
I bought Command 3 Touring for my 05 HD Electra Glide Classic and after mounting I couldn't believe how smooth it rode . It also seen to grip the road much better than previous Dunlop

Vibrating rubber!
Horrible tire! Lots of vibration! Horrible quality control if any. How a tire can be this bad and leave the factory is a scathing review of the company. Terrible and makes me sad that I can't ever trust a Michelin tire again.
Hi Jason Thank you for your review. We are very sorry you are experiencing issues with your MICHELIN Commander III tires. Vibration can have several causes, such as incorrect mounting, incorrect balancing, worn motorcycle components, etc. Please bring your bike in to a local dealer for inspection or contact Michelin Consumer Care at 800-346-4098 to verify your fitment.

do not recommend
i picked the commander 3s based on the reviews and what i thought was the warranty. Ive only had the tires on just over 2 years, purchased around may of 2021 and less than 10k miles. front tire needs replaced and the back looks fine. ive been on hold now for an hour waiting to talk to someone about the warranty and still am as i type this review. I would not recommend anyone buy these tires. I guess the Michelin customer service is the same no matter what division they are.

Fantastic tire!
very nice ride. Was raining today and felt very stable.

horrifying in the wet!!!
They wear like cast iron but grab even worse in the wet!! Tires have almost killed me @ 6 times in 5000 miles!! In the dry they aren't too bad but God help you if you run into rain!! I've been on flat road, minor sprinkle for rain on cruise and the rear just broke free!! Not impressed at all

Confidence Booster
I put the Commander IIIs on my Indian Roadmaster before a 6800 mile trip. I saw a LOT of rain but none more intense than the span of highway between Daytona and Orlando, FL. The tires gripped the road and never hydroplaned…they tracked true. 2 days later I was in 325 miles Rain shower but didn’t care because my Commander IIIs kept me well connected to the road.

Strange vibration and road noise
I've had two sets of the commander 2s prior and never had any issues or concerns with them. Mileage and where to seemed to be very normal. I write a Harley-Davidson road glide ultra and swapped out to the commander 3s in the spring of 2022. After about 3,000 MI a vibration that I thought would clear up after a few miles is still there and getting worse. The worst thing about it is it's only when you're going straight which is what a touring bike does. If you get even a little off-center of the front tire the vibration goes away. I ride with many other guys that have the same tire and it all does the same thing. It's a very thin buzzy vibration but it will put your hands to sleep in no time. I'm going to submit a warranty claim with my Harley-Davidson dealer in Greenville South Carolina and see if they can swap this tire out. I've heard it was a bad run of tires but I've also heard of people swapping them out for other Commander 3s and the same thing happening.

Best tire yet
I just installed my third set of Commander III's on my Harley Ultra classic. These are the best motorcycle tires I have ever owned. They create a very comfortable ride. They are quiet. They handle very well in curves, and in rain they grip to the road. My local Harley shop tried to steer me away from them because of "issues." Don't listen to them! I can't wait for Michelin to develop the Commander 4's but I dont see how they could improve this tire!
Hi Joseph, thank you for your review of our MICHELIN Commander III Touring tire! Glad you enjoy the wet grip and handling! Thank you for your support!
