Review Summary

The tires provide excellent traction, grip, and handling in both dry and wet conditions, offering a smooth and confident ride. Many customers report the tires are an improvement over the previous model, with better grip and longer-lasting tread. However, some users have experienced vibration or humming noises, particularly at higher speeds, as well as premature wear or blowouts. Overall, the tires offer great performance, but customers should be aware of the potential issues.

No vibration complaints and good mileage

2005 Honda VTX, front and rear 5k a year, 2 seasons on rear and front, very satisfied, wet traction on rear could be a little better but great tires and looking forward to installing on our Road Glide next

Overpriced and overrated

I purchased for my 2022 Honda Rebel 1100 after running Shinko 999 Long Hauls for about 12k miles. Thinking I was getting an upgrade because, well, they're Michelin right? More expensive, best tires etc. Boy was I WRONG. I'm taking these Michelins off as soon as the set of Shinko's comes in. I've run these tires for about 500 miles and they're just bad. Wobbles and vibrations aplenty and they definitely not nearly as stable at speed as the much less expensive Shinkos. I've been riding my entire life and these tires are overpriced and not very good.

Vibration can have several causes, such as incorrect mounting, incorrect balancing, worn motorcycle components, etc. Once your bike is inspected by your dealer, you can always contact Michelin Consumer Care at 800-346-4098.

Great tire, awesome wet & dry performance

I've been running Commander III tires on my bike for the past 10,000+ miles. Hands down the best tires I've had on my bike. Dry grip is outstanding, once the tires are warm the grip is unmatched. I decided to see how much traction I had in the rain last summer and they are on par with the dry performance I got out of the factory Dunlop tires. Anyone on here who has a bad review I'm convinced is running the wrong size tires or old tires. Hands down the best performing tire I have run to date, that includes, Michelin Commander III's, Commander II's, Dunlop factory Harley tires and Metzler 888's.

Rear tire blew up on me on the high way after 200 miles of use

I bought these about a month ago the rear tire exploded on me on the high way. I enjoyed the traction they have but the rear tire didn’t last but 200 miles

Ride with confidence

I own a 2018 StreetGlide, this is my 2nd set of Commander IIII Tires. They handle great in dry or wet weather, they are solid and give consistent feed back of the road. Also the milage is a welcome bonus lasting over 15k

Long trip review

Had front and rear tires installed on my bike 23 July 2024. They are the ones that were made after 2022. I rode from Pa to Daytona Fl, down to the southern tip of Key West back up the state into Ga and then on through 13 other states to include riding through Hurricane Debbie while riding through Florida. This trip also included going into Canada and then on to Homer Alaska and then back to Pa. Round trip was over 16,000 miles in roughly 22 days. The only issue I have had to this point is with the front tire. It is feathering. No issues with vibration and the rear tire is still going strong. I rode through many different temperatures in a single day. Rode some roads that my Road Glide def shouldn't have been on. I had no problems or ever felt concerned. I have been impressed with these tires. I would like to know what caused the front tire to start feathering...
