Review Summary
The tires offer good handling, traction, and long-lasting wear, especially in dry conditions. Many riders reported excellent mileage, with some getting over 20,000 miles. The tires were also noted for their stability and performance in wet weather. However, some customers experienced issues like wobbling, vibration, and premature wear, particularly with the front tire. A small number of riders reported tire failures, including blowouts and tread separation. Overall, the tires appear to be a solid all-around option, but the inconsistent performance and occasional durability problems suggest they may not be the perfect choice for all riders and conditions.

Disappointed
I'm very disappointed in these tires. I didn't get 10,000 miles out of them. At a little over 9,000 miles, the front tire was slick! the rear tire was flat in the center.
Hi Leftyg, thank you for your feedback. The wear of a tire can vary depending on usage, load, riding conditions, and proper inflation. Please bring your bike in to a local dealer for inspection or contact Michelin Consumer Care at 800-346-4098 to ensure you have an approved fitment for your year / make / model of motorcycle.

flats
we can put a man on the moon, but we can't make a motorcycle tire that can be fixed when punctured? With labor, replacing a motorcycle tire can go pretty close to $400. Get with it, people!
Hi Reeder, MICHELIN does not recommend or condone the repair of any of its motorcycle tires that have suffered punctures or other damage. Michelin assumes no liability for injuries, consequential damages or death arising from MICHELIN® motorcycle tires that have been patched, plugged, sealed or otherwise repaired by a dealer, distributor or consumer.

Best Tires
Commander ll are the best tires I've used. All around riding is the best..

Commander 2
I am running the Commander 2 on my 2009 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. I have had zero issues with these tires. Also ran Michelin’s of my CBR1000-RR. Now today’s odometer is at 63,925 on the Harley. I put the front one on at 33,592. That’s 30,333 miles and I am getting it replaced. The rear went on at 38,621 and I am now at 25,304 and more to go on that tire. I ride South Georgia, Florida and just spent six days in the mountains of North Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina two weeks ago. I have ridden in freezing temps, rain and 100 degree weather with no issues in performance. Everyone has their favorite tire and these are mine. Mike 06/04/2021

Great tire
I ride a 02 softail standard. Put on the commander II last year. Got about 8,000 miles on it so far. I ride hard most of the time. Tire still has a little life left in it. Maybe 2,000 miles if I took it easy. Love this tire and will be getting it again.

7,000 miles and lumpy
I only have 7000 miles on Front MC II and it’s got lumps all the way around it. Lumps appear to be bulging from the inside of the tire. Rear tire same mileage looks fine and wearing evenly. OEM Dunflops front tire usually outlast 2 rear tires but this MC II will not outlast 1 rear. I am sure it’s a factory defect but I am betting the fine folks a Michelin would blame it on just about anything (bearings, balancing, alignment, shocks, low blinker fluid, etc)to avoid replacing it. Never seen a tire wear like this in my 40+ years on 2 wheels.
Hi Gohn, it's hard to comment without seeing your tire. It's always good to bring your tire in for inspection at a dealership. History of road conditions, inflation pressure and a mechanical check are only some of the checks to see what could be causing the issues. Once irregular wear starts to occur, it's hard to stop it. Expected Michelin Quality and Performance
Great tire with this caveat. Dry surface traction & cornering stability increasing suffer with increase in ambient temperatures above 100 degrees in hot Las Vegas summers.
