Review Summary

The tires provide good grip and handling on both paved roads and light off-road conditions, with a balance between on-road and off-road capabilities. However, some users report the tires can be noisy, especially the rear tire, and have relatively short lifespan, particularly for heavier riders or more aggressive use. Overall, the tires offer solid performance and versatility for adventure-style motorcycles, though riders prioritizing a quiet ride or long tire life may want to consider other options.

Love them but...

The Anakee Adventure tires came on my 2020 BMW R1250GS. Having ridden for 51 years I had never received 5,000 miles on a tire before. (Except on a trip) I now have almost 15,000 miles on this bike all on Anakee Adventure tires. The first two sets were made in Thailand giving over 5,000 each. The next set was made in Spain and only gave 3,900 miles. Riding the same roads. It was suggested that the tires made in Spain have 1/32” less tread depth! Is this true! BTW I love how the Anakee Adventure tire handle on this bike in Western North Carolina! I basically spot ride this bike with these tires! Brick

Hi Brick. Thank you for review. All products are made to Michelin design specifications with the same level of quality control. There is no difference in the production process. As you probably know, tire wear can also depend on tire pressure, the load being transported, speed, driving habits. You can always reach out to our Consumer Care department 800-346-4098 if needed.

Great Tire

I have run this tire on my 2019 for about 1500 miles now. I love the response of the tire both on and off the road. I do way more road riding than off road so this is the perfect tire for me. I am still trying to figure out the best tire pressure for this tire and will contact michelin to see if they can give me any recommendations.

HI Bubahide. Thank you for your review. We are glad you are enjoying your Michelin Anakee Adventure tires. Michelin recommends the tire pressure quoted by the motorcycle manufacturer, except if stated otherwise.

Excellent mileage with great handeling!

I've been riding for over 50 years on different bikes and different style of bikes. I'm been enjoying the Adventure bike riding for 10 years and these Anakee Adventure tires are the best! This is the first time I've gotten over 5,000 miles while NOT on a trip. I always get more miles out of tires on a trip. Here in Western North Carolina the mountain roads are hard on tires and the handling of the Anakee Adventure tires allow me to sport ride my R1250GS!

Hi David! Thank you for your review! So happy you found a tire with longevity and tremendous wet grip. The Anakee Adventure tires really give you confidence on any adventure!

I love Anakee Adventure tires!!!

I love these tires on my 2020 BMW gs1250 Adventure. My first set lasted almost 5,000 front and back. I'm a hard rider. Hard on the gas, hard on the brakes, and LOVE the twisties. All of these elements take a toll on tires so to get this kind of mileage is impressive to say the least. They feel great in the curves, and handle rain well. My only offroad is fire roads, etc. and these tires excel there.

HI Chris Thank you for your awesome review. We value you sharing your experience with fellow riders.

Good Stock Tire on the Moto Guzzi V85TT

Rode on class 4 roads in VT and class 6 roads in NH. Mud, loose gravel, rocks and varying terrain. Rode with the tires at normal air pressure. The tires performed well and kept up with the other knobby clad bikes. So far I have 3,000 miles on them and they have shown very little wear.

Amazing adventure tire for on and off road

I have been dealing with adventure tires for over 15 years now, and this is by far the best compromise for dirt loving adventurers, who have to ride on the street. I always hear terms like 70/30, or 60/40 for the percentage between street and dirt usage. I have also heard that the Anakee Wild is a 50/50 tire??? Where I would call the Wild a 90/10 or 80/20 dirt to street. I would refer to the Adventure as a true 50/50 tire! It does very well performance wise on both dirt and street surfaces. Fantastic tread design, a contact patch that puts a lot of rubber on the road, amazing compound for grip, and very stable while going straight or leaning into a corner. I do believe there are better tires if you want better performance off road, and visa versa if you ride mostly street. However, if you want to do both, then this is the tire for you!

Longevity subpar - ride well

Installed November 21, 2019 and now (April 27, 2020) have 4590 miles on the tire. Past tread wear indicators and grooves are barely visible. Previous tires (other brands) have lasted past 6k. No complaints about handling in any condition. I live in central Illinois and have no curves to push hard, plus in the cold I tend to take it a little easier. My commute consists of oil chip, gravel/mud on a deteriorated oil chip, some asphalt and concrete interstate and highways. I will be replacing these as soon as the dealer reopens this week and can get an appointment. In the beginning I would have made a repeat purchase of these tires, but after reviewing the milage I will need to look at something else.

10,000 mile review

I put a set of the Michelin Anakee Adventures on my Triumph Tiger Explorer (1200) six months ago and have now put 10,000 miles on them. I have been impressed from day one and even now the tires are still holding up well. Living in the desert southwest, I learned on decomposed granite roads that the front tire will quickly lose grip, but on fire roads and dirt roads, they work well. I do not ride this bike on Single-track; I have a dual-sport for that activity. On the twisty asphalt mountain roads, they feel solid and inspire confidence. The dual-compound rear tire still has plenty a tread with minimal flattening out. I took a seven-state western tour and had no issues in all types of weather. Overall I could not be happier with the tires; yes, they hum on asphalt and concrete, but I wear ear protection and a full-face helmet to avoid wind noise; therefore, the hum is not noticeable. The front tire is beginning to show signs of edge fraying but still no flattening of the radius. The tread depth after 10K is 5/32 on the rear and 4/32 on the front. I consider this to be amazing considering the weight/power of the bike and the long haul gear I take with me. The set will probably make it another 3-5k and then I will buy the same tires again. My riding style is smooth fast with no wheel stands.

These tires are fantastic!

I own a Versys X300 and rode 2500 miles on the factory tires. I ride streets to get out to the country, and then I mostly ride lots of gravel and dirt roads, and some trails. I purchased the Anakee 2 months ago and have now put 600 miles on them. The difference in grip in all conditions is amazing. I thought I would have to break in the tires, but they worked great from the very start. I think they are more like 70 /30 tires. I’ve ridden them in rain too and they great very well. I have ridden some very steep trails in the Loess Hill in Iowa, and these tires grip very well. I have only written a few product reviews in my life, but these tires were worth writing about. I cannot vouch for how they will last, but they are well made.
