Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

Terrible quality/experience

Tire blew-up from outer wall driving 35 mph!! Leaving me stranded with my family and kids for 3 hours while waiting for roadside to show up; had to get it towed cause it didn't even come with a spare and none of the Ford dealers and even Belle Tire nearby had it in stock. Buy a spare tire if your car doesn't come with one or replace the tires to play it safe. Terrible experience!!

Zack, so sorry to hear about this. No doubt it was a frustrating experience. The first step is to have the tire inspected by an authorized Michelin retailer. Have the dealer contact us while you are there so that we can help get this addressed for you.

TERRIBLE TIRE

Terrible tread, noone wants to help with warranty. These came with my 2021 ford explorer .Michelin Primacy A/S are supposed to have a 55,000 mile warrant2. With 29000 miles on the car I took them to the dealer and they measured the tread depth. There is 3/32 tire tread left and are essentially bald. Terrible. Michelin used to be the best of the best, but they are no longer. Had to pay to replace all 4 and noone wants to assist with a warranty says Michelin is the worst to stand behind their warranties.

AG731, we're sorry to read of this. I see that you have contacted us previously and we explained that we'd need an inspection of the tires in question. To date, we have not received that information.

Terrible Tread Wear

These came with my 2020 ford explorer limited. Michelin Primacy A/S are supposed to have a 55,000 mile warranty. With 29000 miles on the car I took them to the dealer and they measured the tread depth. There is 3/32 tire tread left and are essentially bald. Terrible. Michelin used to be the best of the best, but they are no longer. I will probably have to replace them soon. When I do, they will NOT be Michelin Tires.

These tires came on my vehicle brand new. 30k/2 years later and they need to be replaced. They have been rotated every 5k as recommended by the retailer and they have not held up. For the price of these tires I would rather put on other tires that I know will last for the right price.

Bad Tires will go anywhere near the recommended mileage

I bought these tires a week before the national shut down in 2020 due to Coronavirus and I have roughly 23K in that time because I wasn’t driving much due to the shut down. They are all worn out and need to be replaced. No thread wear left. The price of the tires have doubled in 3 years.

Leo56, we're sorry to read that your tires are worn out. We'd recommend taking the vehicle to your local Michelin retailer (preferably the selling retailer) to initiate a mileage claim. You or the dealer are welcomed to call us with any questions.

Not what I expected from a Michelin tire

I purchased 4 of these for my Lexus RX350 at the end of Jan 2021 and they now need replaced, with less than 25k miles!! I have used Michelin tires on all of my vehicles for over 25 years and I never would have expected this type of performance. What a disappointment...

Worn fast 30k

Always use winter tires and summer for summer, defender series gave me lasting tire's however these tires I was shocked to see are almost finished at 30k klm. I'll stay with defenders and don't recommend the primacy line.

Gordo, sorry to read this but your tires have a mileage warranty, We suggest taking the vehicle to your local retailer (preferably the selling dealer) for an inspection of the tires. Have the dealer contact us while you are at his store so that we can help resolve this.

Not Great tires

Bought these tires at Costco Just over two years ago. on insection yoday my sidewall has a bubble in it and they pro rated my tire for a $90 credit towards a new one only problem is these tires are awful they have worn poorly and i have gotten worse gas mileage than original tires from car when brand new. I want to get a new set of tires the Michelin CrossClimate2 but if i do that then no credit from my bad tire ?? what a joke is this how you take care of your customers. Thanks I live in Utah

Purchase date: 05/15/21

Unhappy in Utah, we're sorry to read that you are unhappy with the Primacy All Season tires. Costco has full authority to prorate a tire with a warrantable condition. Actually, the Primacy tire line would be better for fuel efficiency than the CrossClimate2 on your vehicle.

Tire is prone to punctures even from a pebble

OEM tires on my Ioniq 5. A 16mm pebble(rock) punctured through the tread and all 5 belts including the steel belts this morning causing a rapid leak of 10 psi per minute. My bicycle tires are stronger than this model tire from Michelin with just 6,800 miles.

Tread life is Terrible

THE LIFE OF THE TREAD IS TERRIBLE, I bought a 2021 Toyota Sienna minivan and it came with these tires, I barely have a little more than 25000 miles and I don't think the tires will reach 35000 miles
