Review Summary

The reviews present a mixed sentiment about the tires. Some customers report positive experiences with the tires, such as great handling, comfort, and traction. However, a significant number of customers have had negative experiences, including rapid and uneven tread wear, poor performance in adverse weather, frequent air leaks and punctures, and questionable durability. While some customers praised the quiet ride and overall performance, the negative reviews seem to outweigh the positive ones.

Warning--Dangerous Tires

Horrible! at only 7500 miles on a new Mercedes Benz GLC 300 4-Matic the left rear tire blew out while traveling 80 mph on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia, and could have cost my husband his life as he negotiated crossing three lanes of traffic to reach the berm. The response from Michelin? A case number, no help, no follow-up. A Michelin rep said take it to a MB dealer, the dealer said it was a waste of time and Michelin wouldn't do anything. Long story short--we replaced the tire with out own money. The car did not hit or run over anything to puncture the tire. It just completely separated from the rim. Air pressure was good, as the car monitors it. These were OEM tires that Mercedes uses for that model. We are terribly angry at the situation and Michelin. The only thing I received from them was a case number--no phone call or follow-up. So disappointing from a company that I once considered a better brand. No more Michelins for us!

Don't buy this tire

I've had these on my Lyriq for 14,000 miles and the center of each tire has no tread. The car has no grip on the road, even a dry road. I wouldn't dare try to drive in snow. So disappointing that there isn't another all-season brand that fits. I'm going to submit a warranty claim. Don't buy this tire!

Defective tires, followed by shabby and duplicitous customer service

Mere months after purchasing a brand-new car with these tires on it, one of the tires blew inexplicably (no foreign object or impact involved). A few months later a second tire blew under same circumstances, so I reported to the auto manufacturer who advised this was a Michelin warranty issue. I spent weeks on the phone with Michelin customer service who finally assured me I would get a full reimbursement for replacement costs, so long as I took the car to their preferred dealer for warranty inspection, which I did. The dealer confirmed the manufacturer defects. Then Michelin tried to weasel out of promised reimbursement by offering only 55% reimbursement, due their claim of "pro-rating", even though first blow out was after less than 7,000 miles of driving! No concern for my family's safety, nor the hoops we had to jump through. Very shabby. Ongoing claim.

Nowhere near 55k miles

I only had 15000 miles on the original tires before having to replace them with 3/32 on the tread.

Bad tires, Michelin should be leading brand in tire and here we go

I bough the Mach-e ford 4 months ago and I have only 4600 on it, my tire bow out on the side wall, likely we had no accident. Its Sunday and all dealers tires were closed, I removed that tire and replaced with a used one so I can go to work tomorrow Monday.

Never buy.

I bought a new explorer these tires were on it. Look like they would be good tires, didn't put much thought into it at the time. Now, 21,850 thousand miles later, we're down to 6/32 tread remaining.. We live in a snow and ice state. Tires here are not recommended.Once you hit 4/32 tread. So it looks like we're buying new tires for winter. I've never had a tire where this quick in my 44 years of driving. I will never buy this tire again, and possibly not a michelin either. And I would recommend other people staying clear from them. Tires are too expensive to wear out this quick. And on top of that, with all of our pollution in our world, it doesn't make sense.

SO LOUD

So loud. I was literally buying these because they were supposed to be quiet and comfortable. I cannot explain how disappointed I am in these tires. Luckily, with Michelin they have their satisfaction guarantee and I hoping they will help to get this resolved. I hate driving my car now.

  • Brought my car to the dealership to get inspected and they told me I have a gash in my tire. And someone told me it looks like the tire is coming apart

JB2016, Treadwear is determined by many factors: Driving habits and style of driving, geographical location, type of vehicle, type of tire, how vehicle is maintained, how tires are maintained, etc. As a result, mileage expectancy is impossible to determine. We'd suggest taking your vehicle to an authorized Michelin retailer for an inspection of the tires. Then give us a call at 866-866-6605 8am-5pm EST Mon-Fri

Bad Tires

These tires were installed on a brand new $60.4k Lexus RX350 I bought my wife for Christmas last year. Tires have been rotated 3 times; they now have 18,381 miles and are completely bald. 100% rural driving on paved roads with zero stop and go driving. I expected more from Michelin. My next stop is Lexus for installing these crap tires on a luxury vehicle. Shame on you, Michelin. Do not purchase these tires.
