Fantastic grip in wet and dry conditions
In my opinion these are the best tires in both wet and dry conditions! Better wet weather traction then the various "all season" tires I have used, and fantastic dry weather cornering and handling. I have also had excellent tread wear for a performance tire. This tire is a winner!!
Great, all-around tire
I've got these on a 2003 BMW 330i, which previously had a set of Pilot Sport 2's that lasted for 22,000 miles. I have about 13,000 miles on the PSS and the tread seems to be wearing well - still has 8/32 depth minimum left. I drive in a spirited manner but never on a track. Pros: Awesome grip in the dry and wet. Pretty quiet for a high performance summer tire. Responsive, but not to the point of feeling darty. Cons: A little pricier than the average high performance summer tire. Could maybe be a little quieter and absorb bumps better - but hey, it's a high performance tire, not a touring tire. Overall, an excellent choice for those who enjoy driving.
Always my choice for OEM replacement
Whenever my new car needs replacement tire I choose Michelin. I want the best performing tire in all categories for the season and for Summer Performance the Pilot Super Sport (PSS) delivers for dry and wet traction, ride comfort and tread life, and is a noticeable, superior improvement in all areas to the OEM performance tires as delivered. I have never been disappointed or regret choosing Michelin.
Best Street Tire in the world !
I used this Michelin Pilot Super Sport size 225/40ZR18 on my 2013 Honda Fit. No matter how hard I drive this car on the corner, never once this tire let go ! The Grip is tremendous, the ride is as comfortable as the stock tire, and the noise level is acceptable ! I think this is The Best Street Tire in The World !
Super Sport's Transform My Audi's Ride
Replaced my 2010 Audi Q5 OEM 'high performance' tires with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL long before necessary. The Audi OEM tires were very noisy at all speeds, giving me a headache on long trips. What a remarkable change, installing the Pilot Super Sports ! My reward was a very quiet ride plus allowing me to enjoy my premium sound system while driving. The wet weather handling at high speed has improved dramatically. The Pilot Super Sports are a great, long wearing tire and I recommend them to everyone.
Porsche Perfect
I replaced my PS2 tires on my 911, and these are great tires. Handling, noise, and from what I hear, wear. Hard to beat, and they look great too!
Great Performance
Use it on my 08 BMW M3 as a daily driver to and from work, have not been to the track and keep traction control on so no drifting either. Tires have grip through everything and were great in rain. 7,400 miles later, I have chords showing as of yesterday. Great performance all the way up to the chords. Would definitely advice others to get these, great grip, really low noise. Other than tread life, I have no complaints about these tires.

Outstanding Performance
I now have 10k miles on these tires, which I cannot rotate due to different size front/rear, and they still have a lot of tread remaining. I am expecting 20-25k out of these tires. Granted, I don't drive my car that hard (Lexus IS350C). These tires are like glue for your car. They can take interstate off ramps at speeds that make me feel uneasy with no slipping or squealing. They stay plastered to the road in heavy thrunderstorms and I have yet to hydroplane. The other reviews are true...If you are looking for a performance tire, this is it. I will definitely replace these with another set when the time comes.
Smooth Speed and Excitement!
The tires are exceptional. They are smooth, quiet, and absolutely able to take any bend at extreme speed as they are noted! One of the best tires I have ever purchased and owned!
Fast wearing
Purchased these Pilot Super Sport tires for the rear as I only got 10,000 miles from the originals. The handling and smoothness was great. I am a smart/safe driver and regiously check the air pressure but only got 7,000 miles off these tires, especially the right rear, which is the torc side. The left rear still has at least half the tread left but I will have to change them both. I was told that's the nature of the beast. I will think of sacrificing smoothness for a little more wear life and look for something else.
