Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Tires These tires came with my 2014 Acura TL and I couldn't be happier with them. I like that they favor performance over tire life and MPG but not severely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tire Bought My 2011 Buick Regal with these tires on it. At present I have 98175 miles on them and still got about 2000 miles left in tread. Great tire will be putting same tire back on

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unhappy MY GAS MILEAGE FOR MY CAR HAS GONE DOWN SINCE PUTTING THESE TIRES ON MY CAR, AND WHEN DRIVING AFTER THE CAR SITS FOR A WHILE THE RIDE IS ROUGH LIKE THE TIRES ARE FLAT SPOTTED. THESE TIRES ARE COSTING ME MONEY!
Date published: 2014-05-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not this tire These tires ride very rough and are more noisey than I was led to believe. I love Michelin tires but not this one. I would like to trade them in on a set that are quieter and have a more comfortable ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 85,000 miles 85,000 on my first set before showing wear - can't beat that! Cost a little more but so worth it. No problems this past winter in Kansas snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Michelin need I say more...... I ordered my Chevy Cruze in March 2011. I ordered it with LTZ package and 18" wheels. The car was delivered with these tires on it (had it not been Michelin tires I would've not been a happy camper). Needless to say almost 3 yrs later.....almost 78,000 miles later I'm still driving this car with the original Michelin tires on it!!!!! I've had them rotated alternately every oil change service and they are still rolling on.....We've had alot of snow and ice where I live this winter and these tires are still going strong! I've not had any trouble out of these tires. Michelin tires won me over years ago and I continue to buy them. When I decide to replace the originals it will be Michelin's again for my Chevy Cruze! Way to go Michelin for making awesome tires! Handling, performance and lifespan of the tires are unbelievable!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I very good tire, I think! I bought my 2011 Cruze LTZ with 18,600 miles on it. It has Michelin Piolot MXV4 p22245R18 tires. I now have 23,200 miles on those tires & feel as though i have about half the life left. I am very happy with their grip, especially on curvey roads. When the time comes, i will buy this tire again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do not expect to get full mileage I wouldn't recommend these tires to an enemy. The tires are round & held air well. Noise was unremarkable, handling & braking acceptable. An all around good, solid tire. Until they wore out halfway to the mileage Michelin said I could expect. I bought my 2011 Challenger SE new. I'm middle aged & broke & I didn't burn up the pavement with my six banger- I went to & from work & home with the occasional trip to visit the wife's kin 165 miles away & one summer road trip with the nephews from central Texas to Central Kansas. Regular rotation every 5k, no alignment problems. Average driving by an average driver. At 23k miles the tires were done. Even wear, just worn to 3/32 all the way around. I'll be generous & say I got half the 50k Michelin says you can expect. Sorely disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet & Saves Fuel These tires are installed on my 2009 Mercedes E320 Bluetec (Diesel). These tires have tamed down the road noise from the OEM tires that came with the car when new. I also have set personal best mileage with these tires. I got over 45 mpg on a road trip at average speed of 70 MPH. That's an increase from my former best of 42 mpg on the same interstate, same speed. This is in a E Class Mercedes not a Prius! I only have about 2K miles so I can't comment on longevity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet, Comfortable Ride Replaced another brand tire on my 2012 Mustang. I wanted a quieter ride and always valued Michelin for this and for a comfortable, higher mileage ride. The difference was immediately noticable. The corner handling is a little bit softer but all other aspects of the tire are far superior. I can finally hear the growl of the engine over the tire noise!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tire Product Ever I purchased a new Honda Accord which came with a set of Pilot MXM4 P225 50R/17 XSE tires. I am still riding on the same set of tires 97,000 miles later. These tires still have considerable amounts of tread but I will get another set at 100,000. This is, by far, the best product that I have ever had and will never use any other as long as I own a vehicle. Thank you, Michelin Tire Corp., for providing such quality product in a day and time where cutting corners and bottom line profits seems to be the norm in our society. I have and will continue to endorse your product to all my family and friends, as well as, any and all I speak with about automotive tires. In me, you have a customer for life! Bottom Line!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tires! These tires are better than I expected. The ride is great and traction superb. Great product! I expect nothing less from Michelin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tire, A Little Hum I loved these tires - great reviews, great tread, great ride. However, they had a slight hum at higher speeds that I was comfortable with. Michelin has been my tire for life. And Michelin promptly exchanged for a set of Pilot Sport that do not hum. Both are great tires, but the Pilot Sport worked best for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tire My first set of Michelon Pilot MXM4 tires lasted over 50,000 miles and never needed to be rebalanced. I just replaced them with a new set of Pilot MXM4 tires and couldn't be happier. The tires are quiet, smooth and handle great in all weather conditions. They make driving my Fusion SEL a pleasure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tire Replaced tires with original make/model. Had 60,000 miles and still had good tread remaining. If winter wasn't coming I would have put 10,000 miles more on them.
Date published: 2013-12-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My car rides excellently now. My car rides smoother now. It handles the road very well. I feel very confident that driving in snowy and rainy conditions will be safer.
Date published: 2013-12-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Texas lasted 63000 miles on my Accord These were provided as the Original Equipment tires on my new car. They are rated for 50,000 miles and lasted over 63,000 miles. In Texas the Summers are very hot the Asphalt regularly gets over 115 F degrees most days from about June to October, then plunges to freezing and hovers between 27-40 F degrees until late March or February. I drive the I45 corridor from Houston to Dallas and back once a month every month to visit Family, a little on the Eastern side, so its usually lots of slick Ice and Black Ice in the Winter. These tires held up well. The tread markers have surfaced and I'll be turning them in Monday for the Primacy MXM4 98v models, which I understand are designed to replace these technologically and are rated for 55,000 miles. Looking forward to them, gas mileage was good with these, but the new technology in the Primacy MXM4 are supposed to make them even more fuel efficient.
Date published: 2013-12-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pilot MXM4 I had to replace them within 35,880 miles they suppose to last at least 45,000-50,000. Not happy with these tires.
Date published: 2013-11-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good treadwear for performance I am just now replacing these tires they have 53,500 miles on them. I can't believe I got so many miles out of these soft tires. They were great, I probably could've driven longer but I had a tire puncture and it couldn't be fixed, and I am at the treadwear marks so I am just going to replace all four. Anyway great tires, they stop well, go well and handle well. I would not say that they are super quiet, but I have a loud car. I am going to go with the defenders this time, if they can go 90K miles they are worth the extra money.
Date published: 2013-11-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tires I am at 92k miles and got an email form my dealership service department telling me to get my tires checked the next time i come in for service. My car tells me it needs to be serviced about 20k miles apart. Talk about long lasting tires! I am impressed :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am convienced that this is the tire ta These are the tires that came on my car when I purchased it in March 2010. (NEW) I now have 109000 miles and counting. Now that the winter season is upon us I do need to get serious about some new tires. I will buy Michelin. I am impressed with the wear and tear along with the quite ride and gas mileage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wesr, Ride and Life Just installed my second set Pilot MXM4's on my 2010 Taurus at 72000 miles. The have been a great tire, good ride and no problems. I rotate them every 5000 miles, keep the inflation right and align my vehicle once a year. I have only used Michelin Tires on my cars for the last 25 years and unless something shocking happens, have no intention of riding on anything else. Keep up the good work Michelin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must supervise the installation! This is the second set Michelin tires I have had on this vehicle. This vehicle is reserved for trips greater than 100 miles from my home so it is only used infrequently. With the first set I had a continual problem with one particular tire loosing pressure during periods of non use. I took it back to the dealer several times to check for a slow leak but they were never able to get it to leak under high pressure checks. I got good wear out of the set and eventually replaced them with another set of the same tires. Unfortunately they problem with the same rim persisted and I assumed that I had a cracked rim (aluminum) but asked them to recheck the problem wheel (tire). I went out into the shop to discuss the problem with the technician who was performing the check and he said he suspected the problem was coming from the plastic UPC label on the bead of the tire and showed me some very small bubbles coming from a one inch long section along the rim. He removed the tire then removed the UPC label, remounted the tire and it has never lost pressure since. I love the tires but will always supervise the installation of any Michelin tires I buy in the future to make sure any UPC labels on the bead are removed before installation. You cannot imagine the aggravation I endured before this problem was corrected. Reinflating them in my garage with a bicycle pump to avoid driving them with low pressure. I understand the value of UPC labels in determining the batch, etc. but respectfully suggest that Michelin consider some other location for these labels. Otherwise these tires deserve a 5 star plus rating. Yours truly, Don Spencer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Pilot tires on my 2010 Cadillac CTS Ride/comfort, handling and fuel efficient on a outstanding vechicle. Perfect match for this sport sedan. The car is at 22,500 millage and the tires tread wise look like new. Car is rear wheel drive without awd which helps the life of the tires.
