Ratings & Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible road noise, harsh road comfort This tire came factory installed on my 2014 Honda Civic sedan EX-L. The road noise that this tire generates on any surface beyond the smoothest of freshly laid blacktop is horrendous. For awhile, I thought it was a lack of sound deadening in my vehicle. So I went through the expensive, time consuming process of installing sound proofing materials inside of all four doors, thickening the lining underneath the carpeting throughout the vehicle and completely insulating the trunk. All of this combined did almost nothing to reduce the sanity-collapsing road noise! It was these tires all along! Not to mention 4/32" of tread left after 32k miles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 80,900 Miles on Buick Regal I'm just going to replace these tires since winter is upon us with nearly 81,000 highway miles. I regularly rotated every 5,000 miles and wouldn't consider any other tire for my Buick Regal. Great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from thinking of a different michelin tire this time 2009 cts cadilac oe tire now has 40000 and needs to be replaced. Rotated every 5500 miles with mild driving. Luxery ride look and handling but tread doesnt last.it is a 50000 mile tire no way others experienced much more than that . Trying michelin defender next

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Tires These tires were on a 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T that I bought used, so I'm not sure how the tires were used / treated / maintained prior to my purchasing the vehicle. I suspect that these were the tires that originally came on the car from the factory. These are the quietest, smoothest, best riding tires I have ever experienced on a vehicle. I did replace these tires at 26000 miles, but as previously stated, not sure what transpired before I took ownership. I replaced with exactly the same tire the MXM4. New set still providing an extremely quiet, smooth ride and they look great too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd set after 75,000 miles Acura TL SHAWD Northern and Southern California driving. Desert and mountains, intense heat and cold moderate snow and rain these tires handled everything I threw at them and delivered. They showed me performance aspects of my car I seldom use as I drive fairly safe and respectable. Rotated every 5,000 and started with nitrogen. Finished off with pressures of 34 front and back, but stayed in the recommended range during most of the tires life. Priced we for all four with a wheel alignment at my Acura dealer for the new ones and think it was because they while new were coded at 2 1/2 years old. We will see how they run in the next 30-40 thousand miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not great These tires came as OEM on my Acura RDX. In less than 40,000 miles they're ready to be replaced. The road noise is my only real complaint. I find them extremely noisy on the highway. The wear is very even and grip / handling is very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 years, 95000 miles, After 5 years and 95000 miles on my Accord 2010, V6, can't say a bad word. Excellent road handling for all season driving. No problems in Chicago's winters. Thumbs up!!! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 73,000 miles love my tires My Honda Accord Coupe came with these tires and I now have 73,000 miles. While I might be able to get another 10,000 miles, I'm going to buy four more now to avoid unexpected issue on my trip. I do a lot of highway driving, which might be why the exceptionally good mileage wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Repeat customer My Buick LaCrosse came with Pilot MXM4 tires as an original fitment, and I had 52,000 miles on the original tires (listed as a 50K tire warranty). I STILL had at least 5/32nds of tread depth left on the tires (I rotate every 3,000 miles), and feel very certain I could've got another 10,000 to 15,000 miles out of them, sacrificing some wet-weather handling for mileage, if I hadn't had a puncture and was unsure of whether I had damaged the sidewall. I opted for four tires, since Michelin had a rebate on a set of four. 52,000 miles on a V rated tire, that handled as well at 52K as they did brand new. I am sold on Michelin quality, durability and handling. I will NEVER purchase another brand of tire, and will NEVER purchase another vehicle without Michelin tires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the Line Simply put, these tires allow me to sleep at night. I know my car has the best shoes on its feet, and our kids are safe at all times. The quality is unsurpassed, the performance is second to none, and the life of the tire long. I won't buy another tire for as long as I drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made it to 65,000 miles My first and original set of Pilot lasted to 65,550 until my rear driver side tire ran over a nail. I decided to replaced all four since it is about time. I am looking forward to get the same result on my second set. This is on a 2011 TL SH AWD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from way to go michelin mostly highway driving with a 2012 chev cruze. Braking is excellent. tire wear is superior to any tire I have owned. I run Michelin A/T2 on my dodge ram, but I have 100,000 miles on these pilot tires. they were rotated approx. every 8,000 miles. they still have tread but winter is coming. my only complaint, they are not the best on icy conditions, but you can't have everything. I am buying another set tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CAN'T DO WITHOUT THEM !!! I had difficulty getting these tires so I accepted a new style tire. I didn't feel they were "hugging" the road as well as my MXM4's did so I took all 4 tires back & exchanged them for the MXM4's. It was well worth the wait for the tires to arrive. I'm back on the road in my car of 12 years & feel just as safe as the first day I bought my new car. Thanks Michelin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have bought this product again I replaced my old tires with the same tires (Pilot HX MXM4) that the car came previously had. I achieved miles > than the warranty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK...not as good as expected I bought the mxm4 pilots to replace the mxm4s that came on my Buick Regal. I loved the original tires and thought that these would be the same. From the beginning, the tires did not track well on grooved concrete. This wouldn't be such an issue, but it makes up 6 of the 10 miles on my commute. I returned to the retailor who rebalanced my wheels and even went to my local car dealer and replaced a rim that they suspected might be bent and causing the issue. I also had them double check the alignment. I still get the a side to side movement on grooved concrete that I never had with the older Michelins. When not on a grooved road, the tires are fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 120K miles on the OEM tire on my Ford Fu With proper maintenance, I was able to get over 120,000 miles from the Pilot MXM4 on my brand new Ford Fusion!! Excellent, excellent product. I was so impressed with the quality of this tire, I'm putting it back on my Fusion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Michelin tires When it comes to tires. The only tires I've use in the last 30 years is Michelin tires. I always think of my family on the road day to day or traveling. Quality, safe ,performance ,what more could you ask for. When I go to get tires its not that hard because I always us what every Michelin suggest for replacing my manufactures tires . They always are as good or better then what came on the car. Don the bud driver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Michelin MXM4 V7 I have owned a few cars though the years and ususally the tires are not quite right for the car. These Michelin MXM4's were standard on my 2010 Buick LaCrosse and were a perfect fit for both quietness and traction on the road. So, when it came time to replace them I chose the MXM4's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Performing Tire The Pilot MXM4 (93V) was the OEM tire for my wife's 2009 TSX. My first purchase was the matching MXM4 with around 40-45,000. I just purchased the 2nd set of tires with 124,000 miles. The performance is great as well as the ride quality. Michelin states that the tread wear will last 50,000 miles. However, my last set got around 75-80,000 miles, with the proper maintenance of course. Michelin seems to always out perform what the mileage warranty claims. Keep this trend up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent tire! I just purchased my second set of these tires; they came as original equipment on my Accord EX and they performed perfectly until replaced after 76,260 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tires I bought my Chevy Cruze April 2011. It had Michelin Pilot MXM4's on it! I got 89,000 miles out of these tires. I drive an hour one way to work daily. These tires have been great! Handled great and wouldn't have replaced them just yet had I not ran over a piece of wire and punctured one of them which had to be plugged. So, I just recently (August 2014) replaced these tires with another set of Pilot MXM4's! I've always had good luck with Michelin tires and will not buy another brand! These tires will pretty much dry rot before they will wear out! Outstanding tires!!! Not to mention the 91W's handle great! Curves, rain, sleet and snow this tire has been great the 3 yrs it was on my Cruze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tire Lesson Learned! I had great experience in the past with another American tire mfr on other vehicles. When these OE tires wore out, I tried them. They're not the right tires for a heavy car like my Charger R/T. New OE Michelin MXM4 were mounted- and I'm very happy to have them! Dodge and Michelin know what they're doing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1993 Jaguar XJS I had these tires installed on my 1993 Jaguar XJS about 8 weeks ago. I've had this are since 1999 and been through 4 sets of tires (all were Michelin except one). When I pulled out of the garage and turned the corner I immediately felt a great improvement in handling and ride. I've them up to 85MPH, tested them with sudden stop, hard corner, and torrential rain (I live in South Florida). All of these experiences were improved with this tire over any i've had on this car before.
Date published: 2014-06-29
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short Life Have these on my 2011 Dodge Challenger which I purchased new. I love the ride and winter traction isn't bad for that car, but I only have 18k miles on the vehicle and the tires are down to 4/32" and need replacing. I know it's a Challenger but I am 52 years old and I don't burn rubber with it. The wear is even. I've had the same issue with Michelin tires on my Accord and my Sienna Van. Nice tires but wear life is very low. I've had them rotated every 5k miles, but local tire store is not helping me with the warranty claim. I've tried a claim with the Accord in the past and the discount they provided was based on list price, and would have cost more than just getting new tires on sale. Frustration and Disappointment.
