Michelin Recalls 140 Pilot Sport 4 ZP Tires Sold in U.S. and Canada
Michelin North America, Inc. has initiated a recall of 140 MICHELIN® Pilot Sport 4 ZP® 225/35ZR19 96Y XL tires that were sold into the U.S. and Canadian markets, beginning in February 2021.
The tires being recalled are missing the DOT marking on the tire sidewall that is required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Transport Canada. The DOT symbol is an important safety related marking which serves as the manufacturer certification that all required safety and performance related testing has been conducted, and that the tires have passed all tests. For the affected tires this is a marking error only; subject tires have been fully tested and comply with all Federal regulatory performance requirements.

Dealers or customers in the United States can find more information about this action by calling Michelin Consumer Care at 888-971-3801. Dealers or others who may have purchased these tires are eligible to receive replacement tires at no additional charge through authorized Michelin service providers.
