Was like a new vehicle

These tires are great. When I replaced the previous tires with Defender LTX M/S roughly 10 years ago my pickup truck went from being a handful to drive, both in terms of noise and stability, to a truck that I had complete confidence in and could drive it without concern for breaking or maneuverability. The truck felt like a completely different vehicle. Unfortunately, I can't get replacements in my size.

Great Tire!

I bought a set over 82,000 miles ago, many of those miles pulling a trailer. Could go another 5,000 but winter's setting in. I'm getting another set in a week.

Not what they used to be

Replaced these tires in 2019, I’ve put 40k miles on them and now chunks of the tread are coming off. What makes it worse is I contacted Michelin to see about a Warranty since these tires are supposed to be good for 70k miles, and they told me the damage was not bad enough and they could only offer a small discount for 1 of the tires. My local tire shop is offering a better deal than that. Not interested in taking them at their word that the damage is fine while driving my family of 4 around. I was excited to get Michelin tires, as I believed these were the best of the best, but I seem to have been misguided. Looking for a better brand now.

Wontbuy, we are sorry to read of this situation. Our records do not show that we have had a discussion with you or your local retailer about these tires. Our team is here to help, so we will be in touch via email.

TOP GUN of Tires

The best of the best! TOP GUN TIRES! these bad boys went trained at TOP GUN and came out flying on top! I purchased these tires in 2012, it is now 2022 and they are still on my Ford Excursion Limited that I tow an RV, Cattle trailer, Motorcycle trailer, utility trailer, and my family of 5 plus five dogs with. When loaded we are maxed out and these tires handle it every time. I realize tires are supposed to be changed out before 7 yrs, I am on year 10! No cracking, not near the warning bar, no strange wear patterns. These tires just go. Mileage? I surpassed 70,000 miles a long time ago. I am looking for new tires today but still have plenty of time-wear tread left to find the right deal. I would highly recommend these tires for SUV, Truck, Van, hauling use. I trust them with my families' lives! I started out using gas instead of air, but due to a lack of dealers that use gas instead of air I had to switch 2015. Even with air they performed well. We did notice a more floaty ride with air compared to Gas. Either way you choose to go, you can't go wrong, and the money will be well spent.

Excellent

Came on my 2020 F150 60,000 miles and 6/32 tread left. At least another 10,000 miles. I rotate every 7,500 miles.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

Bought these tires in February of 2016, just took them off due to poor traction in the rain from low tread. They did not have 20,000 miles on them, also each tire has chucks of rubber missing. Would have expected longer tread life from these tire

Factory on my F150 bought new lasted just under41k

These came with my new truck I am now just below 41k miles and they are shot. Sidewalls are brittle could be Florida sun? They were rotated with the 10, 20 and 39k service. They were ok tires but I think the 70k even 50k tread west is deceiving

Great ride

The Michilen LTX M/S 2 are a great set of tires. Handles great in wet and dry weather. Also, no road noise, love the quiet ride. Michilen tires are usually more expensive than most tires, but well worth it.

Lasted only 43K of mostly highway miles

For a tire that had a 70K warranty, the durability of these tires was extremely disappointing. They wore down to 4/32 after only 43K of mostly highway miles. The newer version of this tire, the Defender LTX M/S has supposedly been improved, so hopefully the durability will be better. In any case, I will not be purchasing another set.

best tire for highway and country

Dumped the cheap OEM at 10k miles on my Tundra. I Alway bought Michelin's all my life and now I know why. Best tire for highway and 5 miles of gravel each day (with farm work). Smooth on the highway with great gas millage. Stay off muddy trails and fields. Thats what ATV's are far.
