Comments about Cross Terrain SUV:
We bought our ford Escape three years ago and it came with a set of Michelin Cross Terrains. After three years of haveing the tires rotated on a regular basis and the vehicle passing NYS inspection in February it was pointed out this week during a scheduled maintenance that all four tires had excessive cracking in the outer tread. With 42000 mi on a 65000 mi tire I find this unacceptable. Living in the northeast I haven't been to impressed with their handling in winter weather.
I noticed we also have Michelins on a vechile we purchased used last October and these tires as well have signs of cracking\dry rot. From internet posts this appears to be a common problem.
I've had Michelin's on other vehicles and have never been impressed with their wet weather handling.
At this point I will not likely purchase Michelin tires again and I will advise freinds and family away from them.

Comments about Cross Terrain SUV:
At 80,000 miles now and about to replace tires. Tires were trouble free for 5 years on my 4WD Nissan Titan. A bit tricky this past winter in snow but down to 3-32nds of tread. I would buy again, but moving up to the LTX's. Doubt I will ever buy another brand again. I did keep my tires slightly over vehicle recommendation for inflation and got nice even wear. Rotated religiously. Tires saw heat, snow, off road, sand, heavy loads, and lot of trailer hauling. Tires spent a lot of time in upstate NY winters.
