Comments about LTX M/S2:

Live out in the country in MN so all types of weather plus some gravel roads. Put LTX MS2 on my 2009 F-350 after factory tires wore out. Truck with camper in the box and trailer behind weighs 15000 LBs so good tires are a requirement and 900 and some reviews tells me what I need to know about these tires. Hope to see 70000 miles on these tires

                    Comments about LTX M/S2:

I replaced the Michelin tires on my Toyota pickup with the LTX MS back in January after 8 and a half years and over 100,000 miles of wear. Recently in need of a new set for my 07 Chevy Silverado, I knew without a doubt Michelin was the way to go. I thought i was having the LTX MS installed but was in for a shock when i arrived. The tires looked different than that on the Toyota. (meaning the tread was a little less aggressive) The service man told me they didnt make the regular LTX MS in the size I needed and had installed the LTX MS2. I was not satisfied... at first. He told me to take it down the road and come back, if I didnt like them we would put something different on. In a nutshell, I had to thank him, the truck rides amazing and no road noise at all! I dont use this truck for offroad other than going in the field to pick up a deer or fishing so these tires serve me well. Bumps in the road felt about like sitting on the couch and thumping the cusion. I knew tires make a vehicle feel different but the improvements by installing these, made my truck feel like a brand new one. Would I buy these again? You dang right!

These are the best tires I've ever had on any of my SUVs.
I had the LTX M/S 285/75 R16 LT on my 1996 Toyota Landcruiser for 120,000 miles - and they still had plenty of tread when I replaced them with the latest version of the same tire.

They're truck-rated but drive so smooth - virtually the same ride you get with the factory-installed slightly smaller 275 size passenger-rated tire.

                          • You need to know your vehicle's options to find out the original size of the tires for your vehicle because automobile manufacturers often use different wheel and tire sizes for different variations of a specific vehicle.

If you do not know your vehicle's options, check one of these places:

1. The original sales invoice or window sticker when you bought the vehicle.

2. Your vehicle's Owner's Manual, which will sometimes identify your vehicle's options.

3. Look on the vehicle itself. Some vehicles have a decal or lettering that indicates the options located on the side or rear of the vehicle.
                          • Find the exact tire quickly using your tire size. Check your owner's manual or tire sidewall to find the required specifications.

Knowing your tire size can help save time at the tire retailer. It also enables you to make an informed tire purchase.

You can find your vehicle's original equipment tire size in one of the following places:
1. • You can determine your tire type by looking at the tire's designation on the sidewall of your tire. The following describes the differences between the tire type designations:

P-Metric: A uniform designation of tire sizes in metric measurements. A typical P-Metric tire is P205/70R14 93S.

European Metric: This system was a conversion of the numeric system from inches to millimeters. The aspect ratio appears in the size designation in most cases where it is other than 82. A typical European Metric tire is 185/70R14 88S

Light Truck-Metric: This system is used for light truck tires, and it mirrors the P-Metric system used for passenger tires. A typical LT-Metric tire is LT245/75R16 120R.

Light Truck High Flotation: This type is for light truck tires with lower sidewalls and wider treads that yield better traction on surfaces such as sand and soft soil found in watery, off-road situations. A typical tire is 31X10.50R15 LT LRC
