              Comments about LTX M/S:

I bought a used Honda Ridgeline in 2008 that had these tires. About 200k miles and 4 sets of tires later, I am looking for another set of these tires. I average about 600 miles a week and living in Colorado I see all kinds of inclement weather and road conditions (even dirt!). These tires have saved my life more than once. Highly recommended! Long life and great traction in all kinds of conditions. And doing a ton of hi-speed (avg 80mph) driving, these tires spin smooth and I have no complaints on road noise.

                    Comments about LTX M/S:

Please do your homework. I am researching Michelin LTX M/S to replace the Michelin XC LT4 I purchased 7 years ago from a chain store that no longer carries this model (possibly discontinued). I was able to get 72 K miles out of that tire and wanted to stick with what I have. However upon researching, the LTX M/S seems like the way to go. Until I spoke to a very reputable man who treated me with respect and informed me that not all LTX M/S are the same. It all depends on the size tire. For example, the 245 R65 17 is rated 440 in wear, and the 245 R70 17 is rated a 720. (Michelin rating) The 720 is rated to wear better. Also it apparently matters weather or not they are 1st or 2nd generation tires. The 2nd generation tires wear better?, according to his customers and reviews. Almost all of these reviews are not mentioning the size tire they were reviewing, which is also important to the possible wear life of the tire due to the dimensions of the tire itself. So I am going to go with the Michelin LTX M/S praying that I have made a good choice and repeat another 70+ K miles on my 2005 Jeep Cherokee Lorado. I will be back on here later to give my opinion to the quality of these tires. BTW, I loved my XC LT4's. They were very reliable even on their last legs this winter in the North East where winter was very unpredictable this year.

                          Comments about LTX M/S:

I bought this set of four tires in 2007 for my Explorer at 91, 000 miles. Through rain, snow, hot summers, and dirt roads, they have held up well and done what they were designed to do. Tomorrow, I'll be getting a new set of Michelins (LTX MS 2 s) for the same rig at 162000 miles. They've been good tires. Held up well and are worth the money. Michelin has had a good reputation since forever and I work too hard for my cash to spend it on anything not holding up. These tires probably could go another 10,000 (rotated regularly), but they don't owe me a thing and I'm happy to replace them with another solid set. Thanks for not pushing junk on the market and having a quality product.
