Tire Highlights

Variable thickness sipes provide additional biting edges in low–grip conditions to improve wet and snow traction, but lock together in dry conditions to provide crisp handling and longer treadwear.

Unique biting edges in the grooves grip snow for better acceleration and braking in snowy conditions.

Helio compound with sunflower oil helps to increase traction at low temperatures, while extreme silica technology provides exceptional wet grip.

Asymetric tread pattern and Variable Contact Patch 2.0 design result in strong dry performance combined with long tread life.

My husband selected these tires for my BMW 528i; I was reluctant at first because they were more expensive than other brands and as a woman I really didn't think tires made that much of a difference. I was so wrong! These tires are fabulous! MY BMW has truly become the ultimate driving machine with these tires on it. My husband was so impressed with them, that he's getting a set for his 2013 Nissan Maxima as soon as the Labor Day sale goes into effect!

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

Just got these a few days ago and I'm very happy with them. They are smooth and quiet, better I think than the original Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 that came with my Accord. They even cost less than the original tires. The treadware rating is 500 on the Pilot Sport AS 3 vs. 300 on the Pilot HX. I got over 80K miles on my original tires; so I'm hoping the Pilot Sport will last just as long or more. The reason I gave this a 4-star rating is because I don't know what the tread life will be like.

On another note though, I've tried other name brands in the past and have been disappointed. Now I only use Michelin tires and have yet to be disappointed. Their tires just last a long time, provided you rotate regularly.

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

I have a 2006 BMW 530i sport and have installed the sport a/s 3's and within the first 100 miles I have already determined that they are not what was described to me by the tire retailer I purchased them from. The last two sets of michelins have been the a/s plus and they are significantly better in road noise and handling. Right away you could feel that the sidewalls are softer and there was an immediate feel of drift in the corners. The a/s 3's are also very noisy. I have had the tires a total of two days and they are going back. I don't believe that these tires are poor quality but so far their performance is poor for the price.
