Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

I replaced my old tires with these new ones about 4 years ago. I don't drive the car often or to long trips. My commute is about 10 miles round trip. I probably got maybe 15000/20000 miles out of these. At first they were really nice. Very smooth and low noise, but then the noise was getting worst. My car has staggered wheels so they cant be rotated, thats why I never really bother to look at the tires unless when the tire pressure is low, and that doesnt happen often. I noticed the tires are not wearing the way they should when I parked my car up a hill with the wheels turned to the curb. When I got off the car to check my park job I see pieces of rubber missing/hanging from the tires! So I went home and checked my other car with different brand of tires that was purchased at around the same time and with 3 to 4 times more milage than mine. Other than worned thread, there wasn't any missing/hanging rubber. Long story short, I noticed these tires have 45000 miles warranty while shopping for a replacement. Came to site for info and notice alot of people are having the same problem. Michelin Please fix this problem! These need to be replaced for my safety and safety of others!

I HAVE DRIVEN OVER 500,000 MILES ON C-5 AND C-6 CORVETTES, ALL THAT CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH OTHER BRAND OEM TIRES. I FINALLY HAD IT WITH THEIR PRICES AND THE OUTRAGEOUS ROAD NOISE ON MY 2011 C-6. I BOUGHT A SET OF 4 MICHELIN ZP PILOTS AND THE ROAD NOISE WENT AWAY. BTW...I AIM TO EXCEED YOUR MILAGE ESTIMATES BY MORE THAN DOUBLE. VERY HAPPY WITH THE SWITCH. I JUST BOUGHT A C-7 AND WILL KEEP MY ALL SEASON TIRES. THE DEALER CAN KEEP THIER SUMMER ONLY MISTAKE.

Melted around edges after road trip

Not too happy with these tires. Mine also melted around the edges after a road trip this past weekend. I'm worried they might explode if I continue driving my car. My air pressure and alignment were perfect before my trip. My dealer thinks it might be a defect in the tires. He hasn't seen anything like it before. I hope Michelin recalls these tires. The center of the tires look new, but edges are completely melted. Less than 2 years old and only have 9000 miles on the tires.
Is there a recall for these tires Michelin?
