Tire Highlights

Tri-Tread design provides better wet handling versus the leading competitor1.  A state-of-the-art directional tread pattern and wet-weather silica compound combine for extreme wet-weather control.

TriFusion™ compound provides better all-weather performance versus the leading competitor1. This is the only ultra-high performance tire in the Michelin lineup to offer TriFusion - three different compounds bonded together on the tread face to provide a balance of all-weather performance.

Terrible - worn after 11,000 miles

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

I purchased these tires based on the rating that they 'should' last 45,000 miles. That was 18 months and 11,000 miles ago. While having a repair done, the shop told me that the rear tires are totally worn out, down to the wear bar. I am extremely disappointed, as I paid specifically for a longer lasting tire. I do not track my car and do not drive like I am in the Indy 500, so they should have lasted at least 35,000 miles, with a little give for manufacturer exaggerations.

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

I have purchased 4 pairs of these tires for my Audi A8. While they perform well under most conditions, including light snow, they have exhibited poor wear characteristics, as others have noted. This is despite rotations. The current set have started to show the tread breaking off, specifically the outer part of the central tread pattern, adjacent to the shoulder blocks. The disintegration started at the end of the summer, but conditions here are not extreme and in fact we had a cool summer, with little highway driving. Very disappointed in the quality and wonder if there is a manufacturing problem. After a decade of Michelin purchases, I am strongly considering another brand.
