Tire Highlights

Variable thickness sipes provide additional biting edges in low–grip conditions to improve wet and snow traction, but lock together in dry conditions to provide crisp handling and longer treadwear.

Unique biting edges in the grooves grip snow for better acceleration and braking in snowy conditions.

Helio compound with sunflower oil helps to increase traction at low temperatures, while extreme silica technology provides exceptional wet grip.

Asymetric tread pattern and Variable Contact Patch 2.0 design result in strong dry performance combined with long tread life.

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

Needed new tires for my 2012 Mustang. Figured I'd ask other Mustang owners, so requested advice on a Mustang owners forum.
Almost without exception, they advised the Michelin Sport or Super Sport. I went with the Pilot Sport AS3, and wow !!
Great ride, superb handling and quiet. Much better than the OEM tires.
My Pony loves her new shoes !

Purchased 4 tires at 106,800 miles. Had front end alignment. Kept tires at recommended psi. Rotated at 112,500 miles. At 119,100 miles the 2 front tires did not pass inspection due to cores showing.

not even close to 45K miles

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

I purchased these tires since they are the only low profile speed rated tires on the market with a mileage warranty. I barely have 30K miles on the tires - rear tires are at 3/32 and front tires are at 4/32 - basically worn out. Tire wear is even on all 4 tires.

I take good care of the tires - B&R every 6K miles(side to side since F&R are different sizes), alignment min 1 per year and maintain air pressure. I've been extremely gentle with these tires since they cost big bucks and I wanted them to last.

I really liked the tires until now. They don't grip as well as summer tires in the curves but I was willing to make that trade if I could get better mileage...OEM were competitor summer tires - got 36K miles before replacing.

Ride comfort is very good, low noise; didn't see any difference in fuel mileage between OEM and these tires.

I would have given these tires an A+ if I would have written the review shortly after I bought them but with only 30K miles on them, they did not last as long as I expected.
