Tire Highlights

A unique self-supporting construction that locks together for greater rigidity when traction is needed most, allowing the use of more sipes for adverse road conditions (wet and snow) without giving up the handling and wear performance.

Sunflower oil additive in tread compound helps provide increased traction at low temperatures for enhanced braking and handling in wet conditions and better overall performance in snow.

        Tire won't hold a patch

              Comments about Primacy MXM4:

This is my second experience with the similar problem on my tires. For this last experience, we admittedly, got a nail in the tread of a Michelin Primacy MxM4 tire. We took the car to a reputable national chain that we used quite often on Labor Day. They patched the tire. The next morning we needed to return to the tire store as the tire was still losing air. They noted that the patch rolled and attempted to patch it again. However, the second patch would not hold (we never used fix-a-flat). They installed a new tire while I waited. In the meantime, I called Michelin customer service as the tire was less than 7 months old with less than 10,000 miles on it. After a very frustrating call, I was told Michelin could do nothing for me, since the chain was not a Michelin dealer and was advised to take the tire to an authorized Michelin dealer and I MIGHT be able to receive some sort of compensation. As the tire was already purchased and installed I took the defective tire to the authorized dealer who called Michelin and indeed verified that the tire would not take a patch. The rep stated that Michelin does not cover road hazard repair. I was not asking for Michelin to cover the cost of the patch. I was asking for compensation for the tire's inability (defect) to take a patch. The Michelin customer service rep offered a mere 25% credit if, and only if, I purchased the new tire from the Michelin dealer.
I had a similar experience with a Michelin tire on another car last year. Again, it was damage to a tire, that Michelin would not compensate us for because we purchased the replacement tire from a National Discount Club that we found on the Michelin website. Michelin stated that while the club was indeed listed on their site, they would not honor the warranty since we had the work done there.

I purchased two tires in the front 1 year ago, still in good condition, however the back tires were not the same brand and the tires were completed balled in least than 1y. I had to buy to rear tires and I went with Primacy, they are the best tires. Do not try to buy another brand you will regret that purchase.

Bought a 2012 CT200H Lexus with these tires on it. We use the vehicle for Family / leisurely driving... not sport. I was informed by the Lexus dealership maintenance shop Mid July 2014 that the tread was down to 3/32 and showing Dry-rot already. I did like the handling of the tires in Summer, Fuel, Comfort, and braking was good but the positives stop there. They are a bit noisy but that greatly depends on the road surfaces. Winter traction is lacking to say the least. I am contacting the dealer to have them invoke coverage to offset replacement from Michelin through warranty and purchase a better tire. I and my wife are disappointed by the wear life of this advertised 55,000 mile tire that only lasted 25,000-30,000 with recommended rotations. Cost / value ratio is too high for the performance you get.
