Tire Highlights

A unique self-supporting construction that locks together for greater rigidity when traction is needed most, allowing the use of more sipes for adverse road conditions (wet and snow) without giving up the handling and wear performance.

Sunflower oil additive in tread compound helps provide increased traction at low temperatures for enhanced braking and handling in wet conditions and better overall performance in snow.

To correct my review of the Premier which I just bought for my Camary, my review was for the Primacy for a Camary 2 1/2 years ago. I was more than pleased with the performance of the Primacy even when I hit the pothole and got a bubble in the tire, I was driving on that tire for 2 months until I bought the Premier. As far as tires for my car, I will stay with Michelin as long as I can afford them.

              Very good tire, BUT!

              Comments about Primacy MXM4:

I have an Infinity M37 which is an exceptionally good handling car. So far the tires have lived up to my expectations in all areas except one. They have a tendency to, what is referred to as, tramlining. If there is any deviation in the road, such as uneven rain grooves or height difference between lanes, even as little as a 1/4", the car feels like it is riding on a rail. To get out of this situation, I have to give the steering wheel a slight tug on way or the other. This can be a bit unnerving, especially in wet weather. I hate to give up on these tires, but I may have to go to a tire with a softer sidewall. Otherwise a very good tire.

              Minimal Lateral Grip ?

                    Comments about Primacy MXM4:

Overall, I think that the MXM4 line of tires has been perfect. I have had these on every Acura I've owned the last 15 years...a total of 7 starting with my CL Type-S.

I currently have the latest iteration of them on my RLX Sport Hybrid and am finding out that they either don't have enough grip or maybe there is too much power for the rating of the tire....I am not sure and have Acura and Michelin researching. On dry pavement I even lose the car completely without warning through a sweeping 35-40mph turn. And on wet, don't even get me started.

Lateral grip is essentially non-existent. My previous two TLs even had the same 19" tire that were 300 rated and extremely grippy...but the 500 for this one in the RLX I think may not be enough or maybe I just got a bad batch?

Overall, I think the tires are great and hope that there is something that can be done to alleviate my non-existent grip.
