Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

I had these tires installed on my 09 Hyundai Geneses at 55,509 miles on 07/25/2012. I took my car in for regular service and that's when the dealer told me that my tires had chunks coming off of the edges. I called customer care (Michelin) and a very nice lady had me to take my car to tire shop on 03/16/2015 to get them inspected. Well the guy at tire shop told me that the tires had only 2/32 of tread left so he doubted if Michelin would do anything. Well for one thing, the tires were losing chunks of rubber way before the tires got to 2/32. Also, i only got 36,007 miles out of these Michelin, and I could have gotten a lot more mileage if the tires had not been loosing chunks from the tires. I was expecting a discount or maybe even a recall. But instead, I ended up buying a new set of tires at full price on the same day that i took the car in for that inspection. Thanks Michelin

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

My wife's 2007 Lexus GS350 came from the dealer with 245/40/18 with another tire manufacture's high performance tires with a sticker in the passanger side window cautioning that the tires might only last through 15,000 miles because of their high performance characteristics. After four years, these tires with roughly 20% of the tread depth remaining were replaced at 30,926 miles with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 245/40/18ZRs on 11/08/2010. I recently took the car, now with 58,000 miles, in to the tire dealer to have the tires again rotated (back to front, front to back) and balanced and was told the tires are no longer eligible to be rotated because of their condition. The tire dealer pointed out that "dry rot" is evident in the sidewalls and there are cracks where the sidewall meets the tread surface. So, after 27000 miles and four years, four months they should be replaced. I expect more from tires in this price range. I've had Michelin tires on previously owned cars and trucks and they served me well. In regards to time and dry rot, i've had the tires on my pickup over six years and still no dry rot My wife is a careful and considerate driver and wants nothing more to do with Michelin. What say you?

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S Plus:

I bought this very expensive set of tires ( saleperson and magazines reviews in July 2012), best tire in the market with the promise to last at least 40,000 miles.

At the begining I love the design tread of this tire (aggressive look) for my Ford Mustang 2009.

After a couple of year my tire is almost wore out, my car drifts when a I turn on a wet surface.

I live in a small town, Tyler TX usually travel once a month to Dallas or Austin TX, my driving is pretty normal.

My odometer when I bought this tire was on 51,219 and now is 83,113, just 32,000 miles and I need to replace them base on dealer recommendation and clear wore-out signs.

Fist time buying Miitchellin Brand and I am very dissatisfied with my decision.
