MICHELIN® Pilot® Super Sport, First Place: Monster Grip

The PSS has the best balance of wet and dry performance we’ve ever experienced in testing. The minute compromises in each discipline make “super” a worthy part of its name. It’s our winner.

              Comments about Pilot Super Sport:

Bought these Super Sport tires for my 2008 Cadillac CTS to replace the original Pilot tires. Absolute love these tires!! They stick to the road like glue, I baven't been able to get them to break loose yet and I have been trying. I don't see myself buying another brand or type of tire for any of my sports cars ever again.

              Tire Pressure Contradiction

                    Comments about Pilot Super Sport:

Due to lack of customer service support is the only reason I would not recommend this tire to a friend. On Michelin's website for "on road motorcycles", the description under Power Super Sport states "Adaptable pressure for maximizing track conditions - 30 psi front and 27 psi rear for track use," however, the PDF document on the right side of the webpage has track range of 2.1 bars in front and 1.7 in rear. These track tire recommended pressures differ. I've called Michelin and was told to call my bike manufacturer……what does this have to do with conflicting pressures for the same tire on their website? I asked Michelin support multiple times for an answer and the same robotic answer was, like stated before, please contact your bike manufacturer for recommended tire pressure. The Michelin support rep stated the call may be recorded for training. If this was recorded, they need a manager to listen to it and use it for training. I've also asked three different Michelin tire reps at the track and have been told three different answer. At a raceway in Michigan, Michelin tire service has a display with recommendation for my tire of 22 PSI in rear. No consistency and no one to answer my question.

Just up graded my tires to 18 inch Michelin Pilot Super Sport. The same tires on my Z06 Corvette . Very happy with this tire on all my cars . I drive hard . My Honda Accord EX-L Touring Sedan came with 17 inch Michelins . I wanted more meat on the street , went to 18x8 wheels with the Super Sport tires . Better grip in turns and braking . Off to Road Atlanta to break in the new tires . Thanks Michelin ! Another great job .
