    2012 Pilot-Tires started To Fail at 25K

          Comments about Primacy MXV4:

We have owned 3 Pilots over the past 9 years and every vehicle has had the Michelin tires wear out prematurely - right around 25,000 miles. These vehicles are leases and fall under service programs where the tires are inspected and rotated on a schedule that is quicker than what the manufacturer guidelines state in the owner's manual. Very very disappointed with the tires having to be replaced just in time for lease return. If they are 60,000 mile tires and our vehicles historically have only 30,000 miles when they are returned, it doesn't seem fair to the consumer. When we purchase the new tires so we can return the car under the lease terms, there is always a discussion where the price drops on a pro-rated scale and we still spend $500+. There should be no cost at all if the tires have been driven in normal conditions which in our case is very limited local travel to school or grocery stores etc. (only half of the total life has been driven on the tires) nothing harsh at all. We love the Pilot but may choose another vehicle and demand upfront a better tire replacement program. Michelins are always touted as one of the best but this is very disturbing. Why does this happen? Not fair

This is the 3rd time I have had this set of tires on my vehicle. My Hyundai Santa Fe came with these tires, in between I bought a different brand, and this is the 2nd time I have replaced them with Michelins. The Michelins have provided the best mileage and best ware and I will not ever switch again. My vehicle is 7 years old and has over 150K miles on it. Each time I have driven with Michelin tires I have averaged over 40K per set. I have my tires rotated regularly and 4-wheel alignments done when needed; but I drive in winter weather with no hesitation is a very wintery part of the country. These are great tires!

I have 62,000 miles on my Toyota sienna and I have gone through six primacy tires. They wear out way too soon.

They do not last 60,000 miles as advertised.

I would not recommend this tire to anyone.

Very expensive and does not go anywhere near 60,000 miles.
